The Advantages of Not Smoking

Well it's day 10 for me :) I am let's see, 10, pen, den, men, LOL, I can't rhyme today so let's just get on with my posty! The Advantages of Not Smoking: 1. The ability to breathe without any extra effort or outside assistance (ie: an oxygen tank tied to your lungs and tubes to your mouth and nose). 2. Sudden bursts of highly positive energy and smiles occurring on face without any real joke being said or heard, but because of the pure joy that comes from knowing you ARE already a perfect, whole and complete person without that smoke. Always have been. 3. The desire to PLAY. The inner child wants to have fun and run around and be silly due to the clean air intake and good overall clean healthy feeling one has without living in a cloud of smoke. Why not, you are the age of your heart anyway, and since you're not smoking, your heart is in good shape now to be a kid again! 4. The 5 senses return from a faraway land. Taste: OH, your favorite desert or meal, or morning cup of java! Smell: Gee my hair really does smell terrific! Touch: You are no longer numb so textures take on a new meaning. Sight: Seeing the light really does improve your sight--everything is so much brighter and brilliant looking without the smog to look through! Hearing: Well I've been hearing but listening skills have improved because now I can remember more things that I've heard since my ears are no longer clogged with tar. 5. The WILLINGNESS to get things done. Wow, how long has my recycling been sitting under the sink???!!! How could I have let this go. Take out the recycling and clean the whole house/apt/cottage/whichever is applicable and NEVER let it build up like that again!! You have the energy now to do it. I know there are tons more. These are the biggest ones for me so far on day 10! The next time someone asks you what time it is, the time is NOW! ;) Many Blessings, Eve :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 75 Amount Saved: $27 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 19 Mins: 5 Seconds: 21
