4 Day Vacation Harder Than I Thought

18 years ago 0 92 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I thought for some reason that a 4 day vacation with my sweetheart and her mom / mom's boyfriend, etc. wouuld be easy sailing for me to almost get through week 2 of my quit. Boy was I wrong. We went to Mexico (Rocky Pointe), stayed on a house on the beach. It was gorgeous and I had a good time... when I wasn't thinking about smoking. Every trip I've had to a beach or a vacation has had smoking in it. I made it through and feel stronger. Aside from the urges I had a blast and wouldn't have passed it up, even with the pain I went through to not smoke. Anyway, still smoke free, just wanted to let some people know that a trip in the middle of week 2 might be a little more difficult than you anticipated. I had a great time, but from a smoking standpoint I was in a little bit of trouble. Good thing my girlfriend was there to talk / cuddle with. I'm so thrilled for you! I imagine you're feeling pretty darn good right about now...and rightly so! You passed a huge test! Thanks for letting us know how you handled it so those of us in the same boat as you can keep your experience in mind when we take a trip!! N.O.P.E. Neek, You made it! You should be proud! This was a fantastic test of wills and you got honors! Keep coming with the updates, give your girl an extra cuddle for being there for support and take 5 minutes for you today to pat yourself on the back :) Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
