This time it is for me!!

Hello everyone, OK so I started stopping this afternoon, I have been "cutting back" for the past few weeks and decided that today was going to be the day to stop a while ago. So I have finished the last cigarette of the pack. This will be the, who knows I lost count, that I have stopped. However the difference is that this time I am doing it for me, not because people have been pressuring me. So, I know what I am getting into and I need some help, I get the monster sized headaches and while meditation and relaxation are good suggestions, my job is not one where you can just stop for a few minutes. Are there any suggestions on how to battle the headaches while I am at the office? Cranberry juice may help flush your system of the toxins faster than your body can do it alone. I have been drinking green tea by the gallon as well. You could ask your doctor for prescription strength motrin or let him/her suggest something. You could try some of the homeopathic type remedies at the drug store such as the migraine patches. You might look a little silly while wearing it but if you tell your co-workers what you are doing they will probably cut you some slack. Good luck! Good evening STJacksonville, I didn't get headaches so I'm afraid I have no good advice. However, I am here now...So 'welcome!' Others will be along eventually to answer your question. There is a plethora of information at the SSC. If you haven't checked into the glove compartment <---- on the left of the screen, be sure and do so. Also, there is a 'search feature' at the top of the screen that you might find helpful. You are giving yourself a great Valentines present. Quitting is good for your heart too. :) All the best~ N2k My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 176 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,889 Amount Saved: $880 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 18 Mins: 45 Seconds: 17
