Welcome Harley,

I am sorry to read all you have been going through. Struggling financially can cause a huge strain on our mental health. I go not have a lot of resources in your area but check our this site for a good list of agencies you might want to check out: http://www.nrh.ca/agencies.shtml. Copy/paste the link into your web browser.

This program can be a great free resource for you - it is intended for mild to moderate depression. It will teach you the basics of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which is considered the gold standard treatment of depression. Having basic CBT tools will be a great asset to you; so, I encourage you to get started whenever you feel ready.

My apologies for not getting a response within the time frame you were expecting. We normally have a Health Educator checking in once a week and members post often as well but it can really vary on response time.

Cateloaxo gave great advice. Taking things one step at a time is the best you can do right now. How are you doing since you posted last?

Hi Christie, I'm sorry you're going through a rough time. I'm not sure I followed your post, I was a bit confused. But sounds like a crappy situation all around. No one here is doing anything intentionally to upset you. I get how that feels, I've been through it myself.... a lot! Take a deep breath and try to handle each problem one at a time. You can't solve everything overnight and all at once. One piece at a time is the best approach. It can be stressful too, and you may feel impatient, but it's the best way to start. I used to take on everything at once and would end up not getting anything done. I wish I had more to offer you, I hope this helps. Remember you are awesome, and keep being awesome!

my name is Christy, but like my username, i prefer Harley, as in Harley Quinn from Batman. i am a 26 soon to be 27 year old female living in Niagara Falls Canada, but dont let the " free healthcare " fool u, when it comes to things like this, ur paying out ur butt for it. and not like per course, its per session, and my fixed disability income wont pay for it, so its coming out of basic needs! i deal with financial stress, leaving abuse ptsd, relationship stress, and currently even though me and my fiance have r happy moments where there seems to be nothing to worry about, we r worrying about how we r gonna get to toronto when neither of us have family or friends to help us, as well as tell the landlord we wont have rent on the first when he comes for it, so he can sign a paper stating that someone he and his brother in law trusted and thought would never pull something such as take over 5000 bucks worth of stuff that wasnt his, as well as my mans check and was able to forge the signature and cash the disability check BEFORE CHRISTMAS! that was the both of r rent, as well as some food money with the rest. if we could work we would, but then again we would have to go begging regardless because of not having money for 2 weeks as well as no food or anything else for the room we live in. im just happy this place came with internet and cable. ivedone gofundme and fundrazr campaigns, only to have someone comment on them and act like they know me personally blabbing all about my past i have been trying not to relive! i realized i am babbling now and that no one is gonna read my post. :'( oh well.
