I know how you feel, if it weren't for my dog I would rarely have contact with any living thing. I have one social thing I do once a week, but since losing my job to downsizing I either spend my time at home, or on insanely long walks alone with my dog.
I am very sorry to read you are feeling this way. Feeling lonely and isolating yourself can really exacerbate depressed and anxious feelings. I think this program sounds like it would be a good fit for you. It is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) principles - the most evidence based treatment for depression. Try to complete one session a week and be sure to do all the homework. You will likely notice a difference within a few weeks. Have you had a chance to get started? Any questions so far?
I am new to the group and am suffering from anxiety disorder and depression. I have not cried yet today but feel it is inevitable. I am looking for answers like anyone who suffers from this terrible illness. Although I know it is me who has isolated myself from the world. I don't want to stay this way. It is affecting my health. I'm afraid and worried all the time. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way but right now I feel so alone.
