Losing my mother

a year ago +1 11212 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 1

Bump for anyone dealing with grief.

Please share your thoughts.

What is your experience with grief? How do you cope?

Hi
Thanks for saying what you did as it really helps me to cope and also I am doing the programme and found it very helpful.
Reason why I found it hard as I was the only child and had to sort everything out like the insurance , will and bank.
it is taking a long time to get everything done and while this is still going on I still have feeling for my mum and also still have the crying moments like I did yesterday in thinking of her.  It is the phone calls like three times a day and the visits coming down to my place I miss and it seems weired not having them now.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am fortunate to have a relationship with my Mom after several years. I know she is getting old and not long for this earth.  It has been hard on our (dysfunctional) family since we lost 2 of my sisters. I will also be checking out the grief support here.

Welcome Irene56,

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Nothing I can say will make it any easier but I want you to know you are not alone in this. We are here to support you whenever you need us.

When you feel up for it check out the program, especially the session on grief and loss. Again, it will not make your loss any easier but it may help with the grieving process.

It's clear you had a strong relationship with your mother. That is such a gift. How do you want to celebrate the relationship you did have with her now?

I am the only child and it has been hard for me to losing my mum a few months ago.
I have suffered with depression for a long time but with what has happened it as been really hard for
me as I used to get a phone call every day and see her every week and this is the problem that is hard
for me to get into a routine without her.  Also I am not sleeping and keep worrying how I will cope
on birthdays as their is one coming up this month and I do not know how I will cope with it being the
way I am at the moment.
