Hi Jasper, just saw your posting today and am wondering how you are doing with the program.  Have you begun the mood tracker or the readings yet?  Do you have any questions or concerns about the program.

Thank you very much, eleveno and Ashley.

I just started the Ceridian CBT program, and will catch up with everyone who are ahead of the journey to healthy life.

Regards,
Jasper

Welcome Jasper,

I think you are  using the Ceridian version of the  depression center so you will have  to  click start new session under today's date to get started on the CBT program. You should notice a difference within the first few sessions.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Jasper, You have a CBT program here. Just click on My Program and start session 1. i did the program by myself with the help of these forums. You could find a CBT therapist if feel more confortable with one adavantage of CBT is that promotes independence.

Thank you very much. When you said "start a CBT program", I assume you meant a group therapy program led by a professional.
Has anybody tried buying a CBT book and read about it? Does this type of self-study work while we are in depression?

Hi Jasper, Welcome to the forums. You could do a good thing for you, start the CBT program and give at least a month to evaluate its effectiveness. Good luck!

Hi everyone

My name is Jasper. I work in IT world. Due to work stress, I fell into Depression and am currently on STD leave for third week today. Before depression, I felt very competent and could take on more and more workload. So when my manager asked me to take on more responsibilities, I was quite happy and excited. I am a team lead. The members of the team doubled to 6 people. With the more workload, I had to work late and still felt falling behind. After a few triggers, I couldn't sleep well. Lying on bed, I kept on thinking about the work and regretting about what I said or did during the day. Sleeping problem results in low mood. I became lack of confidence and indecisive. My manager noticed the change and suggested I see a doctor and take a short term leave.
I really want to go back to work, for two reasons: to support my family and also to realize my personal value to the organization. However, with current health condition, I can't go back to contribute as expected. I don't even have strong confidence to go back to work with reduced workload.
I am currently on medication. I m trying my best to go to Gym everyday to increase my energy level although I can notice the decrease of my energy. I was suggested to find something interesting to do. With the current situation, I don't find the things I used to enjoy interesting any more.
I feel very sad with the situation I am in. Any help or suggestions from the group would be appreciated.

Jasper
