work relationships

Wildcat,
I love Seroquel, it is the best keeper asleep medication around (I know good grammer).
As for the people at work, I completely understand, I had this job once where I would get out of bed (if I had slept) puke my guts out, get ready for work go to work, get yelled at for her mistakes, go puke, document it, go home, cry, do the usual go to be and the next day would be the same.  I tried talking to her about it, she just said the mistakes were mine (these are your accounts even though she took them over).  I tried talking to the owner and he was scared of her and said the decisions were hers.  I made it very clear to both of them that I was documenting everything.  I couldn't quit, they would have to lay me off, anything else would result in a lawsuit that would have them fighting for a long time, because I wouldn't back down and the Labour Board wouldn't look to kindly on them.
This is a big company with offices all over Canada and North America, it would have been pretty bad for them to fire me, so they waited till after Christmas (when we got our profit share (I still got mine and wow, I was surprised good good good)) to lay me off a week before my father-in-law past away.  I was sad, happy and confused all at the same time.  So I took myself down to the EI office and applied and looked for work in my chosen field and not to do with numbers and I had 10 months vacation to find just the right job, which turned out to be a job I had already had a few years before.
So it worked out in the end, and I believe I am a better person for it (I am just a little off the track at the moment).
I hope you are feeling better and shame on your co-worker for giving you heck, she should grow up and deal with this on an adult level.
Take care.

Hey WildCat,

I am glad if the Seroquel helped. I hope the sleep did you some good. As for the acupuncture, I am thinking of trying that eventually. I am glad it helped you with your cravings and with your mood!

I am sorry to hear you are still irritable and exhausted. Hang in there.

As for perceptions of others, I have had that too. I also have problems with my perception of myself.  I am sorry this bout was so hard on you.

I hope your swing brings you great pleasure! It sounds lovely, having a swing!

Have a great nap and be kind to yourself, you deserve it!

hi everyone.

Last night I took a whole seroquel as the perscription lets me.  All 25mg.  And I slept like the dead.
This morning I spoke to my accupucturist and she did some digestive points and my sweet and coffee craving are GONE!
She did the energy balancing and I feel a bit more even... and less ready to jump to negative conculsion; Less Paranoid!

I am exhausted.  Irritable.  and exhausted.

I do not know how many others have trouble with their perceptions of others when they fall into a deely depressed mood.   I do and I am being to see why many bipolar people have trouble with friendships and employment.  I am used to hiding a lot of my emotions so I 'function' regardless of my emotional state... most of the time.  Okay not at 100% but comparable to a bad cold or mild flu... But this bout  took 'tout mon petit change'.  I was like that person in the mastercard commercial looking for small change all over the car to pay my due.

I need a nap.

then i'll set up the lovers swing

then i'll have another nap.

I have had a few nasty coworkers.  It is so hard to deal with and it made me dread going to work.  I tried talking to them about it but it never worked out. I think they really had no idea of how much it effected me.  I remember at one point I wasn't eating or sleeping it upset me so much.  I tried talking to others and that provided some relief.  But I never did end up resolving the issue....so I hear how you are feeling Wildcat.  Wouldn't it be nice if we worked together? At least we would understand eachother .

I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Wildcat,
I am sorry to hear about your conflict at work.  I find it a little strange that this new girl feels the need to give you a hard time especially when it is unwarranted.  Perhaps she is still feeling a little insecure as she did when she first arrived only now she has been given a little social power so now she feels the need to exert herself.  People can act funny sometimes...  I know it can be very hurtful but try to ignore her.  Who knows, she might actually be feeling incredibly guilty for criticizing you...and if not just pretend she is .

Enjoy your weekend.  You deserve some rest and relaxation.  Post and let us know how you are doing.

Any other members have some good stories about nasty coworkers?  Let us know how you handled the situation and your emotions.

Hello Wildcat,

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble at work. Sounds like things are tough atm. I think you have a right to feel however it is you feel and that it is not childish at all to feel hurt and bad when relationships at work are not going smoothly. But as you said, your boss said it was perfectly ok and you did the right thing, right? So all is well. As for the girl who scolded you, well, forget her, she is just not nice! And who is she to criticize your work, especially when your boss said it is fine.

As for whether you are getting into a mood or not, well, I guess you are the best to know and should observe what is going on.

Anyway, hang in there Wildcat, You are great and we are lucky to have you and I am sure that they are too!

it was horrible!  I wanted to cry all day long... I am fragile to start with and lazy - distracted, anxious, irritable. So when I sent that e-mail to the client and the new girl passed her judgement I fell to pieces !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok we got an invitation to get all out info by e-mail. Our company is tring to save every penny possible so I thought, okay I i'll reply to the invitation and give the generic e-mail for the department to our client.  I told the new girl, sorry I wandered around with your sheets I answeredthe client's request for the address.   She creased her forehead, drew her brows together and took on the scolding tone.  You did that without asking the person in charge of the client's account nor our supervisor?  You did that on your own initiative?  I answered Yes out of surprise the person in charge of this client is out for several weeks and Yes on my initiative.... And I apologised to my boss    I thought... I was only     ...

My supervisor said i did the right thing.  It was perfectly ok.

So why do I feel like I was scolded and deserve punishment?
Why do I feel foolish and hurt?
Why do I want to hide and not take part in anything anymore?  THere is a problem??... NOT MINE!!! Give me the sheet and I will do data entry only!  No more thinking for this monarch's jester.
It is childish and so out of proportion. Is this the beginning of a new mood episode? is it a question of emotional intensity I am not controling properly?  It is not hormonal - not till the 5th of May anyways ....
