More Tips for Crushing Isolation!

15 years ago 0 910 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Lately I contacted a friend for coffee. She said she will be on vacation and will finally have time to see me. I also intend to call my other friend for a weekly walk. I was thinking of taking a weekly appointment with my brother also.Me and my mom go walking often too. I find it is helping, seeing people. But some days I still feel like just being left alone. Some days I just feel wretched and feel like hiding out from everyone. But I have been trying to see more people and overall it has helped I think.

Sharing on here also helps me feel less isolated.

Members,

Here are a few more tips to help you crush isolation…

  • Take up a new hobby or interest. Take a class to learn about it!
  • Take yourself out to a museum, a play, a street fair.
  • Take the initiative: Going out? Ask a friend to come along!
  • Go out with a group, less pressure on you if you feel the need to leave as there is plenty more people to keep company.
