I am sorry about the crash.

Trust me I have been there and it is no fun at all

How are you doing now?

I hate it when it happens especially after a good week.

Diva, it is sooooo frustrating when we crash and we always want to search for an answer.  I tell myself, it's because I have depression and that's all the reason I need.  I, too have those days where sitting and breathing is an accomplishment and I'm proud that you did that.  You obviously needed it for whatever reason.

I'm glad you decided to do your homework.  I look forward to hearing more about how it's going and what part of Session 5 you are working on and what you are accomplishing.  That is a tough step - but YOU can do it.

Be grateful for today and do something nice for you today!!! You deserve good times and fun too.  I know you enjoy your cats.  Did you spend any extra time with them so that you could enjoy them more?  It can be as simple as that, but you need something that makes you feel good about being you!

Hang in there and as this wise woman writes "this too shall pass".

Diva,

I am so sorry to hear about your crash yesterday. Sometimes we all have days like this, where we just need time to sit and breath. What is great about your post is your positivity and that you are able to recognize that things will get better and you can and will do this!

Getting back to your homework is also a great start to regain control and also help you reflect and cope. As you mentioned in your post, putting yourself back on track and staying motivated with get you through these rough patches.

Members, any other advice for Diva? What happens for you when you crash?

Good luck on your homework Diva and let us know if you need anything!

Yesterday I crashed. I mean I crashed bad. I felt so awful. I couldn't stop crying and eating and just feeling worthless and guilty and argh!... Of course, that is the day I skipped my homework. When I fall into a pitt I can't seem to make myself do the homework. Heck, yesterday I couldn't make myself shower or prepare fod or even brush my hair. All I managed was to make myself sit on the couch and watch tv till the day was over. I kept breathing is basically my great accomplishment from yesterday. It felt like I had fallen at the bottom of a very dark and dank pit. Today, I am a bit better, I can see how I started climbing out of the whole. But I don't feel great or strong I must admit. But I can do it, climb out I mean.
I will get back to my homework today. No use in crying over spilled milk, instead I just will get back on track. I just feel so tired and sad. It is weird, I was having a pretty good weekend and then I just crashed and burned! I can't even explain it, how it felt. I don't have words for it.CRASH, BOOM, POW is as close as I can get!
Anyway, sorry for whining. Off to go do my homework!

Glad to hear that you are doing your homework.  Some of those thoughts can be challenging to challenge.  If you get stuck, you know we are here.  Ah ha, and the accountability is here as well!

Glad to hear that you are also taking care of Diva!  That means taking care of business.  Now what are you going to do for fun to reward yourself for your homework and housecleaning?  That's important too.

I'm doing okay, Diva. And okay is good enough sometimes!

Hello all!

Ashley, thanks for the encouragement and support. You really are a great moderator! And yes, I will let you know how it goes!

Goofy, you are right. Accountability helps and I will keep you posted on how I am doing! And yes, I will ask for help if I get stuck this time! I started working session 5 yesterday. It was my first session 5 day. and up to now I have done my homework. I did the thought challenging and you are right, it did help and make me feel better. I have started my homework for today too.

Also, I have had a day of housework and such. doing laundry folding piles of clothes, putting stuff away, doing dishes...Not much fun but it needs doing! And once it is all done it is nice because the house is clean! So that is me and my day!

Hope you are all doing well!

I had to see what Session 5 was about and it's challenging those negative core beliefs.  That is a tough one, but you know once I got through it the first time.....when another negative core belief pops into my head, I refer back to that information and process through them.  It's a great tool for the issues you've talked about regarding the abuse, etc.  Again, I look forward to hearing about your challenging your negative core beliefs and you won't believe how much better you feel once you worked it!  It's like a load has been lifted!

Diva, looking forward to hearing what you learned on Session 5, I'll have to go back and see the topic but would be happy to hear about your progress on this session - accountability does wonders!  So, keep us posted on your progress.  lol, we don't allow stall tactics, ask for help if you get stuck.  You know the moderators are very helpful and encouraging in working through the sessions.
