Lady, Keep challenging your negative thoughts, Valentines Day should be shared with people you love, that includes yourself and your boys. How about planning a special night, renting a comedy, making their special dinner. It can make you feel great to see them happy. Sylvie, Bilingual Health Educator

Good idea. I can take the boys out to dinner. I hope I can maintain composure. Perhap McDonalds would be the right place to go. I'm sure there won't be any "real" couples there. Thanks. Really challenging the negative thoughts today and trying to focus on the positive. Trying to keep the thought of Why doesn't anyone love me out of my mind. Not easy. I called a new counselor today. One that is close to where I live. I don't think once a month is good enough.

if it was easter it would be different - major choco-fest. But valentines (VD - isn't that the old "veneral disease" -now std- or veterans day) most stores only pass off their expired and ineatable chocolates. we here at home and most at the office use valentines as an excuse to remind all that there is a friendship and affection that we share. also, it is a chance in this dreary month to spend a special moment with our immediate family and tell them they are loved and appreciated. so if you can ask your special boys out on a "date" you guys can even dress up and go to McD's to share a sundae and a few smiles!! I am going to cuddle my gang under a red blankie and eat dark-chocolate covered pretzels as desert tonight. (for now I make the social committee's hot chocolate powder  in the office coffee )

Here we go. Valentines day! Great! Yeah right. This is the day that everyone who is loved is told they are loved by that someone special. Some will receive flowers, chocolate, hugs, kisses, and simple 'I Love You' comments. Others of us are alone once again. I thought- well this year at least I have a boyfriend. He may be 4 hours away but I have one. He called this morning saying Happy VD Day. Surely, I misunderstood and said what? He repeated it. Oh how sweet and I just feel so loved right now. It is exactly the same as all the other years alone without anyone to share life or special moments with. My inspiration for today says... It is in the knowledge of the genuine conditions of our lives that we must draw our strength to live and our reasons for living. Aside from my two boys, I'm not sure there is any genuine conditions in my life. The tears fall......
