Hi there, welcome to the site, you will find this site so helpful. You'll be able to read what others are going through and may find yourself similar in experiences and feelings. Basically, you'll find that you're not alone.
I am too, a hypochondriac with obsessive thoughts and waiting for the ball to drop. I think what you need, or what we need to do is find what's at the bottom of these thoughts. I've been working with a counsellor and she's helping me through this and it's been very, very helpful. It's been a long time, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, basically I know now, what's causing these thoughts and it all makes sense.
The nice thing about this site, is when you're experiencing some anxiety, you can always come on here and write away, this sometimes helps. It gets things off your mind and on "paper" sort of speak. You may not get an answer right away, due to time zones or just the time of day or night, but we'll get back to you.
There is a sister site called Panic Centre, another amazing site. So many there to help you, you should try it out. I know anxiety and panic, I've dealt with this for a while, so I know how you feel. You have to learn how to stop these negative thoughts, I know easier said than done, but it takes time and you can do this. Check out the other site too, but stick with us also, together, we can all deal with this.
Good luck, keep in touch :)
