Thanks Gabs.As time goes by I will get more at ease with the sight. The internet and places like this are still quite strange to me.The old days with just my quill pen were more restful.Yet I was depressed even then.

Panda, It took me a long time to find my way around the site. I also couldnt find where i had posted. Concentration is a major problem when depressed. My spelling is shot to bits along with everything else, I wonder if I ever studied anything. Sometimes its down to medication, sometimes its just the tiredness that comes with the depression. I would really encourage you to keep doing the daily sheets. I know how awful it is when you seem to start each day with a high score, i have only just got mine down to 63. It does slowly start to come down but the main thing it does is show you your mood is not low 100% of the time and also the same with your anxiety. I also know its damn hard work. I was stuck on week 3 for ages. Just go as slow as you need. To help with where you have posted click on todays active discussions each day and it narrows the field! Good luck, hang in there and keep posting x

I forget where I've posted or what I said.I'm into the 2nd week I stopped doing daily activity schedule when I realized that I was starting each day with 59% depression ,anxiety.I've looked at the start of week 2 and find it overwhelming I'm going to slow down a bit and read the stuff over carefully. Also it's probably not a good idea to read the words while listening to Lynyrd Sknyrd.I'm soldiering on but again concentration is not a major strength at the moment.

Panda, I am easily distracted too. There are times when I find it so hard to concentrate on conversations. Danielle's idea sounds good to me. I will try it too. :)

Panda, It's not uncommon to have difficulties concentrating. Set a goal. Everyday for five minutes, practice active listening. You can start with something simple like the television and move to conversations with other people. Just like any skill, a little practice can do a world of wonders. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but here it is.Today at my Mindful Meditation session(it was a long 5 hour, silent, semi retreat) I realized as the leader was guiding us through various forms of meditation that it was like I was only hearing every 5th word and a minute later I couldn't remember anything she said. And I realize that this is how I go through a lot of my days. It's very hard to connect. Hello Moody,Hello Maggie.

Maggie, Congratulations on your volunteer position. It is a big deal :) I know what you mean by small steps, it does help lift the soul. I hope to get tired of this sadness too. Im really tired of it. Panda, I feel the same way you do. The conversation ends and then it feels painful just to say nothing. But its also painful to be alone. Its great to meet sensitive people just like me!!!

That's a good question Danielle. What am I afraid of?Sometimes I think that if I did get out of the isolation that I'd be overwhelmed by having to talk to all these people.I run out of thoughts after 15 minutes and then just want to leave. There's a certain comfort in isolation,no challenges,no fear. Here's me,"Hi How are you?It looks like rain. How have you been? How's the wife? How about those Blue Jays(a baseball club). Then I'm done AGGGHH!! Leave me alone!!!Run away back to my safe place.Ah! Peace and Quiet. But I'm alone again. And round and round it goes.

Moody, I know how you feel when you say "I lost my identity", I feel the same way. But I think now is the time when we need to find that identity and nuture it. I know, trust me, I know how hard that can be, but I feel I got to the point where I did something I was very nervous to do before, but I did it now, and I feel so much better about me. It was not big whoop, but I applied for a volunteer position, I went in for an interview, got it and started the following Monday. But just that feeling of "I did it on my own", no one helped me. My spirits increased so much. We can do this!!! I also avoid living, I think because I'm afraid of things not going my way, so why take that chance. My Mom said sometimes, we have to take that risk, big or small, and try it. But now I have gotten to the point where I'm tired of living so sad and scared and panicky that I don't think too much about things (yes, I'm a big thinker too) and I just do it. Look in the mirror and tell yourself, you are a good person with good qualities, we are very sensitive people and that is a good thing if we direct it in the right direction. P.S. Talk about rambling...sorry about that. Have a good day :)
