Hello Erin, I hope that you are feeling better. I hope that you have the support of your husband and family. I too live in Canada. I live in Vancouver, BC. I am 36, married and have 2 kids (12 & 9). I have been struggling with depression, anxiety and agoraphobia for the past 15 months. I am doing much ebtter now but still have days where I feel really bad, but I try and keep those days to myself. I have gone through therapy, which was good. I am trying to work through my problems on my own now. I know what my problems are, therefore, I have to find a way to deal with them. Looking back over my life, I believe I have been depressed ever since I was a teenager. It is funny how things that you did in the past can pop into your mind and you can udnerstand why you did it. Take care and if you want to talk on the IM messenger, let me know. Sharon

Erin, Welcome to the Depression Center! Don't be too hard on yourself. It's okay to be in a bad mood. This is a place where you can come voice your feelings. We are not here to judge. We are here to listen, provide suggestions and support you. Start working through our program, it is located in your session diary. It will teach you about depression and help you to start setting goals for yourself. If you have any questions about any of the program tools, you can direct them directly to us via the feedback section. Also be sure to read through a few forums. The experiences of others may help you in overcoming obstacles you may currently be facing. Hope to hear from you again soon. I'm 31 and a grad student & mom (to a toddler and 2 doggers) in Edmonton, Alberta (I'm not from here). I was diagnosed 3 years ago, am on Effexor, and have only tried a few sessions of therapy. I don't usually post on discussion groups, so I don't have a lot to say. I guess it doesn't help that I'm in a crappy mood (obviously) and I think I just can't imagine why anyone would care about what I've got to say anyway. I happened to find this site tonight and it's one of the best I've found on depression, so I thought I'd try the program. This is the most horrible introduction I've ever given for myself.
