Glad to hear you're under a Dr's care. And you certainly sound like you have the right attitude. I hope things are still going well for you!

Thank you for the welcomes. Yes, I am under the supervision of my dr. Though I have to admit, my withdrawl symptoms come and go - but they're pretty yucky. Emotionally, I'm still fine. But I feel kinda woozy in the head and nauseated. Blech. I cut down from 20 to five on the lexapro - (I was only taking 20 for 2 weeks... I was 10mg for over a year). And half of my trileptal - I can't remember the dose. 300 to 150 sound right? I guess if it only takes 2 or so weeks for my body to adjust to the change, I can hack it - it's been a week since I've halved my doses. Anyway.. thanks again for the welcomes :)

Sparkly, Welcome to The Depression Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding depression. Have you been working with your doctor and pharmacist to wean you off the medication? In the meantime please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may help better assess the situation for you both We also have developed a Depression Program. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@depressioncenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. Hello Sparkly! Welcome! Just your name brings a smile to my face. :) Are you under a Dr.s care while you wean off? And are you weaning off of both medications at the same time? That could make the withdrawal effects that much worse. I too want to be back on Wellbutrin alone but am rather frightened of coming off Cipralex and ending up in the same sinking boat I was on before. Keep us posted as to how you're doing on the weaning business, and of course anything else you want to discuss. Take care and I wish you good luck!

*knock knock* Is this thing on? Hello, I'm new here. I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder for over 10 years now. I have been on various cocktails of medications and am currently taking Wellbutrin, Lexapro and Trileptal. I have decided to wean myself off of the trileptal and lexapro (but remain on the wellbutrin). I have been on the Wellbutrin/Lexapro combo for years and have added Trileptal close to a year ago. I don't like the emotionally numbing or sexual side effects of the lexapro and don't feel that I need the trileptal. I think the wellbutrin will work well enough on it's own. However, I am scared of the withdrawl side effects and fear that my moods won't be as stable or as well as they have been, while I am on Wellbutrin alone. So I've decided that I need some support - and while I am feeling not-so-low, would love to offer some support - because I have been there done that!!! Other random info about me... I am a single mother of a 3 year old little boy, I'm 30, I have a history of self-mutilation, I am a surgical tech at a metropolitan hospital, I am an artist-wannabe, avid journaler (including shared journals), pen paller, soccer player, and in general a short italian little pudgeball. :) I am looking forward to getting to know you folks. Sparkly
