I have no vehicle and no income, but my husband provides for my necessities; I have a computer, which I am truly grateful for to keep in touch with people out there, I don't have any close friends at the moment which has been for the last six years or more; except my husband; but we have opposite personality types and he is busy most of the time. I do have a deep spirituality which I try to keep active, and I used to go for walks downtown, go to the library, study genealogy about my crazy family, and go to museums. I also try to paint once and a while when I feel good enough to do so. And I check in here every day to connect with others who have similar problems to see if I can pick up on their solutions, and also to let off steam when I am really depressed. I am o.k. today...take care.

hi, i'm new here. ..i've been diagnosed w/major derpression. i have no friends, a few associate. i have no money/job (on disability). i don't know where you live but..there are support groups ..for people who suffer from depression or bipolar (and more). i found them to be very helpful. informative and just being around other people who also live with same illness. 2 organizations i know of are n.a.m.i national alliance for the mentally ill 1-800-950-nami(6264) and then dbsa depression and bipolar support alliance 1-800-826-3632. One of my favorite ways is to pick the cat up and pretend she is my baby ( the kids have grown up ) and she actually likes it too. Simple pleasures, simple pleasures.

I have no vehicle, no income, one friendship which is wearing thin, one family member who is just as miserable as I am and I don't own a computer. Does anyone have any clue as to how I am supposed to keep myself amused?
