Hey Kate!! Had a pretty bad evening actually. Had a dispute if u will with someone. So I said, the heck with it, this girl Wendy really needed someone, so I did write her asap as u saw. Today, I went to the dentist and it was aweful and this dentist I really love; just everything went wrong. I almost choked to death SERIOUSLY...long story. Anywho, I am alive and okay but just sore as heck. Hungry and can't eat really much yet...sighhhh. heeeee. To answer your question, I am blue today but not VERY blue if u know what I mean. I am at a crossroads right now with my significant other. OOPS, gotta run for now. He's here. God Bless. Christine

Hi Christine, I see you had a late night. How are you feeling to-day? Hope it's a good one! :) Kate14

Hi Wendy, I'm glad you joined us. I think you already know what you have to do. You sound like a bright woman; you had the iniative to open your own business. Now use that initiative to pick up the phone. You don't HAVE TO feel as bad as you do; there is help. It's extremely unlikely that the next phone call you get will be from a Doctor asking you how you're feeling; you have to make it happen. Give yourself a deadline - something else you're probably used to.How about by 11:00 am tomorrow? Well, now that I've used my strict voice, I'm so sorry you're feeling bad, but the "strangling" can stop. Be good to yourself & get some help. In the meantime, we're all here for you. Kate14 ps. I didn't mean to sound harsh, Wendy. I just had the feeling that "direct" would be the best approach with you. Also, you'll find these sites full of people who have tried everything available to them, and are still suffering. So pls, start the process.......(big hug).

wdarling, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have. TextDear Wendy, Please forgive me as it is very late but I felt I had to respond to you before I went to bed. My opinion is that you just make an appointment for a consultation with a therapist or a medical doctor or even maybe a psychiatrist perhaps may be best. I go to both a Psych and therapist. You need to talk to someone that has so much KNOWLEDGE more than u will ever know Wendy. Check your insurance and find a doc. near you. Please go, even if it's just one time. God Bless and I ain't letting you go that easy. Respectfully, ChristineText

Hi, my name is Wendy and I'm 30 years old. I've been seesawing through the wonderful world of depression since I was in my mid-teens. In the past couple of years it's gotten a lot worse and now that I live alone I can't even blame it on other people -- there's just something IN me making me really unhappy. I frequently experience the feeling like I'm going to cry, have cried, or could cry any second -- even though there is absolutely no reason for me to feel like that. And, yes, I also do cry, just for no reason. Even though I am mainly pretty functional, able to operate my own consulting business, in so many ways depression is getting in my way big time. I am really tired, find myself procrastinating a lot, am irritable, get distracted easily, can't remember things, can't keep to deadlines or work as fast as I used to. Worst of all, I feel like I can't rely on myself anymore because sometimes my mood is so bad I just can't work! For example, I will play out three days of work but on Day One I suddenly get hit with it, middle of the day I have all kinds of work to do, and then I can't do it. I don't want to, I don't have it in me, I don't care, and I'd just rather go to bed and cry. It's like an epileptic who has seizures -- I can't predict it! A few other things... - I've noticed is that I almost always get headaches along with the depression. I will be OK, then my head aches, and along with that my mood changes and by the time my head is splitting, I am in total blackness. - Definitely go up and down. Bad depression is normally preceding by a couple of days where I'm very happy, lighthearted, having fun, bursting with ideas. I wouldn't say I'm insanely manic beforehand, but often have a moment where I can say "I feel great -- oh, ****, that means tomorrow is going to suck!" - Even though I generally feel lousy, I will say that there is part of my mind that always knows I'm OK. I know I'm not worthless, I know I'm successful, etc. I just FEEL terrible! Anyway, I put all this down just to introduce myself. Right now I am at a crossroads trying to figure out what I can do to help myself. I am absolutley positive I have major depression of some sort, only I can't decide on a course of action. I've never ever been to a doctor o

Hi Christine, that's happened to me too - more than once. I've written some long reply to a post & then got the message telling me I hadn't logged in, when I know I had. You're not losing your mind. When I questioned the moderators about it, I was told it happens sometimes. They suggested I "save" a long post in case it happens again. There was one woman in particular I wanted to reach, but the same thing happened twice.( If you're still out there Valerie, I DID try.) Don't worry, I have no intention of "giving up" on you. Talk to you later, Kate14

:confuse: Omgoodness, I just wrote my whole life story to you and now it is gone. I can't believe I lost a whole page of writing! I will as my shrink about the medication you suggested. I am taking Wellbutrin generic for depression; doc just raised the dosage to three pills a day. Let me try and find what I wrote you. See, I am also forgetful now too. Please Kate, don't give up on me. I was suicidal twice in two years but I think I am not now. God Bless, Christine PS I will write to you probably sometime today. I may have to re-write my other post again. TY soooo much for listening. I am housebound but I do go out for appointments and the like. Gotta tell you about my boyfriend too! Okay, latahhhh Kate. :)

Hi again Chris, just had a thought.... if by any chance you're on the new generic Celexa (Citalopram), you should check out the "medications" thread. Talk to you soon, Kate14 (only thought of it because you said you'd been on so many different meds.If you're not on it- great. If they try to put you on it, at least you'll be educated first.)
