Good Morning Starr, It is great to hear that you are going to see your doctor. The fact that you understand that help is available even though a waiting list in effect is wonderful. Please continue to visit us with the assistance of also seeing your doctor. You are on the right track! Looking forward to hearing from you again soon :). Take care, Melanie ____________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team

hi starr. i am also taking fluoxetine. my primary care doc started me on 10 mg which did absolutely nothing. when i saw psych it was raised to 20mg, then 30 and now 40 mg. i have been on the 40 for just over a week now and on the medication overall for a total of 9 weeks. i am just now starting to feel somewhat better. not wonderful, but better. are you receiving psychotherapy also? in my case, i am not sure the medication alone would be enough.

Ive been taking fluxetine for about 8 weeks now , the doctor has increased my dosegae twice and i still dont feel any better. Other people i have spoken to have said myabe i should ask the doctor to change my meds and others have said i should be feeling a lot better by now. Im wandering if anyone knows if i should be feeling better by now or if i need to wait longer. Thanks starr
