Lost in thoughts

Dearest Pink, Why do you say, that being alone is the only way you can deal with this? When you are alone, the only thing you are left with are your own thoughts, you need to find someone that you can talk to and tell you there is always a positive to every negitive. I know that may not mean much, but it is true. I believe that everyone, at least once in thier life, thinks about what it would be like if they were not here, so you are not alone at all. Now i am not a religous person, however i believe that we are all here for a reason, especially you :) When i was feeling helpless, i talked to a councilor, and believe me, before i went i thought "this guy ain't gonna tell me nothing that i don't already know", but you know what, he actually helped me understand why i was feeling the way i was, he made suggestions, and you know what it actually worked!! Pls go and see someone and talk about how you feel, it will make a difference. Also maybe talk to your doctor and see if there is a different medication that you can take, because as you said it does not seem to get any better. So maybe what you are on, is not the best thing. You are not alone...and you know how i know that? Because even though i don't know you, i still want to hear that you will get better...and believe me there are others who feel the same. I will look for your response, and maybe we can chat. So again, even if you feel you have hit "rock bottom" as they say, it can only get better. So stay around, please? Someone who cares ;)

I felt the way that you do for a while and i know what you must be going through, You need to think of all the people you would be leaving behind and you have to hang on in there. Maybe you could try doing something that involves you being around other people, not necessarily talking to them but just with others around that may discourage you or take your mind off things like swimming or going to town...anything. Although this site isn't really for this kind of subject i think maybe you should go to the nearest hospital or clinic, anywhere and my problem was when i was freaking out my doctors was shut or no one was around so everyone thought i was making it up, If things get bad you have to find somehwere open 24/7 like a hospital that can help you when your at the lowest, it will get easier but you have to hang in there. My thoughts are with you , xxx Starr xxx

Hi pink, Welcome to the site. Thanks for sharing your story with us. This is a great place to share your feelings and experiences associated with depression. There is also lots of information about depression available on the site. Unfortunately though, this site was not designed for those with suicidal thoughts. As moderators we are not trained to help individuals with suicidal thoughts. If you are thinking about harming yourself please talk to your doctor/counsellor about this. A good website you may want to try is www.hopeline.com They can provide contact information for services in your area. Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have. Hi, I am new to this site and not really sure how things work around here. I have suffered with depression for years although over the last 2 years it has progressively gotten worse. I am suicidal most of the time and find nothing other to think about, everytime someone speaks to me or says anything negative i just want to kill myself. I know that spending so much time alone isnt really helping me, but i see no other option if i want to survive this. The purpose of this post is to ask how other people cope with feeling suicidal, i often feel this is going to last until the day i die. I just dont know how to cope with anything. I have seen my doctor, i have been on medication for 2 years and yet nothing seems to get any better. Can anyone help?
