Paxil to Wellbutrin

Hi Geoff Sorry you are having a tough time right now. I totally understand the find the right drug ride. I have been given 15 different drugs and combos to date without much success. I had bad reactions to several drugs some even caused temporary psychosis. It may take your doctor time to find the right drug for you. It may even be that the withdrawal from the paxil is causing your problems and not the wellbutrin. You will have to ask your doctor to be sure. I have been taking wellbutrin for 3 weeks now at 300mg. When I read the information leaflet that came with the pills it mentioned almost all of the side effects you mentioned. It has been my experience that most side effects usually ease up after a month to six weeks. However I find the opposite reaction on the wellbutrin. I find it calmed my hyperness and I am finally able to concentrate when needed. I too am dyslexic and find the wellbutrin helps with that also although it has not provided much relief from the depression. I hope you feel better soon. Please ask your doctor your questions. Maybe wellbutrin is not the drug for you. Feel better h

Hey there, Over the past 4 weeks my doctor has been slowly lowering my Paxil dose and introducing Wellbutrine. The whole purpose of this was to see if I could get my sex drive back. I was at 20mg of Paxil and now I'm at 10mg Paxil and 150mg of Wellbutrine daily. I'm a 34 male. I'm not having a fun ride on this. I suffer from a combo of anxiety and depression disorders. Right now I'm feeling totally manic. I'm hyper and over reactive. When I was on Paxil alone it had a lovely sedative effect. Now i'm hyper-reactive to everything, feel jittery, i'm talking loader than usual, hungry all the time and my dyslexia is gone into overdrive (and it rarely surfaces anymore) I've been seeing my doctor weekly so he can monitor me. This thursday i need to make a decision of what course i want to presue. My question to y'all is, has anyone else gone on this ride and what was it like? Cheers, -g
