Loves trees.

Odd ball ones hey. Well I like to do the dishes, a clean counter makes me feel good. Any job well done. Not big on dragging around the vacuum though. I guess it is obvious I like to relax by doing wood work. But I like to clean up so the project is the focus. I like to sit in a clean shop and stare at my project. This is a good distraction for the every day anxiety. Just sitting there and thinking about what I am building would be equivalent to relaxing in a bath with a scented candle. I like to come to this site and I play music well I'm doing it. It really does feel good to see how well we are all doing.

Not odd ball ones, Sitting in my green house or garden. Sitting on a bench watching the deer in the field. Driving to the grocery store. (it is a small general store) Cooking something special. Eating it of course. Better stop here.

Here for you,

This "relaxation and lifestyle" message board has not been as active as some of the others. I thought to myself : "man, relaxation is SUCH an important part of going through the program. I'll post something here because there are new members daily and maybe I can affirm how valuable knowing how to relax is"

So thats basically the reason for this post. What makes you feel good? What is relaxing? How often do you do it?

When i started this program, my list of what I enjoyed and felt relaxed doing was shorter than it is today (I am finished the program now). I also did these things less often. I am happy to report that I now make decisions like "vacuum or take a nice bath" and if the vacuuming can wait (it usually can) I take the bath. I take care of myself. This is really a key part of the program.

I'd be fun to see who has the most oddball relaxing activity wouldn't it? :)

Today I ironed and found it really relaxing. Its so warm (its cold here) and comforting to glide an iron back and forth on something for an hour in silence or with the radio on peaceful music.
