Being in a new place. Being in a gorgeous place. Getting to read and use my French. Being with my parents.

That is amazing that you were able to overcome that fear and enjoy yourself. What do you think helped you to do that? What worked for you this time?

Thanks. I had a fantastic time. I posted a response in successes but I'll put it here :) I was happy to go on this trip cos usually my parents go places alone (often Europe but to other parts of the US and Canada too) and for a very long time I didn't want to walk long distances in fear of an anxiety attack. Let's just say I proved my brain wrong cos I walked so much. Now, I need to walk long distances with a friend. I never think it's safe to walk long distances alone. A cousin's friend's mum was killed by a serial killer in a very nice/safe town. But it was a very big step for me....pun intended.

Walking is a great activity! I hope you have a good time in Quebec City.

I noticed my agoraphobia has been spilling over into my walking so I've been asking my dad to go on walks with me or going on walks with my dad and making them longer and longer. I am happy to say next weekend I am going to Quebec (City) with my parents and family friend and we will be doing a ton of walking there and I am looking forward to it.
