This computer is wifi now so I can use it in the kitchen for recipes. My cook book is in it too. I seldom use a cook book though.

Using software, I can log mom's calories & nutrients through her diet. I think that the less sugar, and more fibre, the better she feels. The WHO(world health org.) states that sugar should be only 5% of our calories, and that's a tough target with all the processed food around. I haven't been well for the last 10 days, so it's been hard to cook healthy meals, but the results are attainable. Since I eat a similar diet, I can benefit too. I don't have a wireless device to use an app, so it makes it tedious, but I've found shortcuts, anyway.

Over the years I have come to the conclusion sugar is okay as long as it is being used. But not if it isn't. Bananas have always been used for aerobic energy by cyclists and runners. I've done this myself when I could still cycle. Bananas are high in sugar. There is a definite high that comes as it is burnt. There is a price to pay after though and the price is even higher if the sugar we consume isn't used. Sugar and starch convert back and forth as we need them and the liver makes glycogens to keep us going so raw sugar isn't really necessary. Organic produce has more sugar in it than non and it shows itself in taste. There is more than one form of sugar, some less damaging than others.
Sugar on it's own is blamed for anxiety and for me it can be so if I'm not busy enough to burn it.
I'm going to grow Stevia again. It is rather expensive to buy. It is easy to grow.

I think the problem is the amount of carbs I eat in my diet, for example rice.  It gives me feelings of anxiety, but now I've come to realize its what I'm thinking about it. Or it could be a reaction to the sugar i eat.

There is a coffee called counting sheep coffee. It is decaf and valerian. This should not be on the market. Valerian is cumulative and stays in your system a long time and it is not meant for long term use. Also how do you regulate dose.
As if coffee isn't addictive enough but to mix it with Valerian is a bad idea. It has a long half life so it is going to take some extra coffee in the morning to wake up. Cycling uppers and downers is a bad idea and can only contribute to more anxiety.

Cara

I get that too and my blood sugar is normal too. Same reason and reaction as the periods.  I eat more often and less to lessen the reaction but it still happens. A lot less than it used too though. During high anxiety times I find it hard to eat at all. Calcium or Tums reduces the acid and makes it easier. Just something that happens and I know will pass. No fun though if I want ice cream.
