Hi Ashley
I have done some research - most recommend valerian and kava kava. There isnt much information about dosage though.

In terms of foods that increase anxiety - I have given up drinking coffee and have cut way back on sugar. i have the occassional cookie though.I dont have much information on foods that reduce anxiety. Any ideas???

Naa

I have to agree with Ashley. There are a couple of very important thing if you go on an SSRI. Do not mix it with St Johns Wort. Do not take calcium with any meds or Iron, it binds to them and wastes them. Valerian root is what Valium comes from. It makes some people worse, some just sick. Avoid Korean Red Ginseng. It increases anxiety and anger in those already anxious.
Most every thing else is safe in moderation. Most work just by making you sleepy. If you find something that does work would you let me know. For me the only thing that I know that actually works is Lemon Balm. (a mint) But I strongly recommend no more than two cups.
There are no short cuts.

Hi Naa,

The only advice I have for you is to do a lot of research from reputable sites before deciding on anything.

Also, have you looked into foods that may help lower anxiety? And also foods that can increase it?

Wondering if anyone has reduced their panic symptoms using herbal supplements? Do you have any advice? Regimen?
