Help! I need to know what is the best goal...

Great question Jeandavi2,

What session are you in the program? The session you are on may determine what goals you set. I don't suggest you jump ahead in the program but you can find more information on setting goals in session 4. The page "Setting your Goals" will likely help the most.

Setting goals can be tough. What area do you want to work on first? Setting a goal you are excited about is important. I would also agree with Davit, smart small. Which goal creates the least anxiety for you? Start small and work your way up.

Let us know what you decide to do.

I'd put them in order of ease of escape.

Like making phone calls as first and going on dates as last.

Hi.. I want some suggestions about how to set my goals and which one to go first
I have social anxiety disorder and here are some situations that make me anxious:
  • Meeting new people
  • Being the center of attention
  • Being watched while doing something
  • Making small talk
  • Public speaking
  • Performing on stage
  • Being teased or criticized
  • Talking with “important” people or authority figures
  • Going to markets (grocery stores)
  • Going on a date
  • Making phone calls
  • Using public bathrooms

  • Eating or drinking in public

  • Attending parties or other social gatherings
Which one should I aim for first?
Thanks in advance
