Tollerance

The latest sales gimmick seems to be the buddy act. So many people are attached to their computer or cell phone looking for company that companies are taking advantage of it by being super friendly and making it possible to shop from any gadget you have. There is a subconscious sales pitch also. If you are one of these technology addicts you are going to deal with the company that has the most contacts. Take my phone company. I pay my bill on line and get thanked but then right away I get an Email thanking me again and it is probably on my cell phone too. Enough already, this is unnecessary use of my limited data. But I suppose for the technoaddicts it is gratifying and makes them feel important. It must work or they wouldn't do it. I mean they have profilers checking out our wants, needs and tolerances all the time. And majority rules and the rest of us can just accept it. I think it is a way for me to sign up for the automatic payment plan I don't want. But it would be one way to get one less thank you.

Look at all the people playing boy scout, with there cell phone in their hand ready for any emergency or any unwanted quiet spot in their limited life. They spend so much time checking their phone there elbows are wearing out. And companies take advantage of this.

How much of this adds to the stress level. Is the latest sleep aid going to be a ringing cell phone. I'm going to wear out the delete button on my computer. It already has a spam file just in case I might want to look at this junk. 2600 messages before I started to delete them and more going into it every day. Who knows, maybe I want to look at something I can't use. As you can see tonight my tolerance level is not good.

Here's my take on Tolerance as it relates to my life and me..

Yes life is not all roses..There are a lot of weeds out there too and I am doing my best to not get choked out by them. I have  lots and lots of tolerance but now I think it is time cut my losses and run..I mean I need to pick my battles and not waste precious time, money and life on battles that can not won without killing me..

Hi.

This is one of the things I get from gardening besides the pleasure of it. You see it isn't all roses if you will pardon the pun. It is a lot of work and there are disappointments. Bugs and rot being the biggest ones but weeds taking over can be a heart ache too. But there is a balance as there is in all life if you want to be realistic. I like the quality of the produce which is in direct relationship to the care I give it. Organic is a lot harder than Round Up and 18 18 18 or what ever other numbers are on the bag. 24 9 6 6 was what I used on my hay field when I used it at all. But growing clover or alfalfa with the grass worked as good.
So there are days I have to ask if it is worth it. Well I have to ask even though I know the answer. Of course it is worth it to me because I get more out of it than just good produce. I get satisfaction and I get attitude. And attitude is the most important. If I can tolerate bugs and weeds and work head down and steady to get rid of them then life can throw what it wants at me. I will have the right attitude to fix it or tolerate it. Or I can give up. But then I will give up on everything. And that is not good for a person who had a panic disorder. It doesn't have to be gardening, it can be anything.
I don't have a TV because except for the odd movie full of annoying commercials it does not breed tolerance. But go ahead and watch it if it works for you. But if you end up saying that was a waste of time after you might want to consider doing something else that isn't. Something with accomplishment attached to it. But what do you do when tolerance doesn't cure the problem. When there is no change or change in sight. Well then I guess you have to let go and do something else because not all things are tolerable. And tolerance does not cure every thing. It won't get rid of those annoying commercials for me. So I do without, and I sleep better.
This is only one of the things attached to attitude and attitude is a major thing in surviving the crap life throws at you. So you need tolerance and it's close cousin acceptance if you want to get anywhere with properly using CBT. They among other things breed the right thought patterns to counter the wrong ones.
