Day 2

Day 2 is kinda worse but I'm still smoke free. I really want to light up but my desire to remanin smoke free is stronger. I miss smoking particularily with my morning coffee. I have learned to substitute other things in place of what I use to do and so far it seems to be working ok. My deep breathing exercisers also help but I seem to have major issues with feeling just plain angry that I cannot smoke anymore. I know this too will pass and the desire will lesson but its agonizing right now. Thanks for all the support and I will stay close. Major crave going on but big breath.....INHALE........EXHALE..... ps I am using someone eles' computer and will show my meter when my computer is back up sometime next week.

Day 4....grrrrrrrr

I am just barely hanging on. I am looking at a cigarette right now but promised myself to at least come here and post first and think about what I'm doing. I already feel better but I still want to light up. This is not my first attempt but it WILL BE MY SUCCESS. Wow oh wow....this is sooooooooo hard. My computer is not up so I have someone else's when I get the chance. When things get really tough for me I try to just hang on until I can get here. This was a tough crave. I will be back later on tonight.

Starting day one

Hello everyone I really want to succeed this time!!. I am having a major crave right now and I'm using all my strength to refrain from lighting up. I have been here before and know that the battle is just beginning. I need tons of help and support. I have to stay close to this group in order to be successful. When I have failed in the past I just drop out and dont return until I'm ready to quit ....yet again. I cannot believe I am going thru this absolute hell all over again. NOPE.....Believe it!!!! I need help!!

4 Days to Quit Day

Third try is a charm!!!!! Will not accept anything else. Was out of touch with group for 3 months and fell flat on my rump. I seem to have a close connection with this group and I obviously need the support. Monday is my new quit date and I have been taking wellbutrim for additional help. Would like to hear from anyone who has had success with this aide. I am now taking 2 pills a day for 7 days and then continuing taking 2 pills. Since starting meds I have noticed less craving but am fearful when I stop on Monday. I had a heart attack and I have to quit smoking

Just keep hanging in there. You can do it. I have also had a heart attack and bypass surgery so I do understand. Regardless how many times we try we must continue kick butts. Just take one day at a time. Another Start

Back again and going through this agony yet another time. The difference now is that I do not feel I have the same choices. I am being forced to stop for medical reasons which should have me very scared but that ole darn Nico Demon is much stronger. My longes quit was for 5 yrs then a major tragedy in my life made me cave in and I have been smoking ever since. We all have these hurdles to overcome and millions of people overcome them without the cigs. I wish to be one of the millions that do not smoke. With the help of this group I will be. I have not lit up this morning but the desire is overwhelming. Will be back in a few.
