Bad Day

Vick, Sorry to hear your news. However, the fact that you resisted the evil weed at such a time shows great strength. Very proud of you! I'm trying this again

Hi H, The first week IS hard for most people who quit, but it does get better! It's hard to gauge because the improvements are very subtle from day to day. All I know is how much better I feel after 11 weeks than I did on that first day. Stay strong H and post often - we're here to help you! Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 79 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,380 Amount Saved: 592.5 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 5 Mins: 32 Seconds: 50

70 up 0 down

Hi Riverdale Man, Happy 70th!! I gave up 3 days before you. Glad that you're having similar experiences to me, ie you're ENJOYING your quit! To all new quitters I echo what Riverdale is saying; it's a struggle at times, but stick with it - it does get better! Can't sleep?

Good Morning from London, For many of you on the other side of the Atlantic, it's the middle of the night, but here in London it's 8am. So if you awake with cravings and you feel that there will be nobody out there to hear you, I'm on the night shift! Do not always have access to a PC, but I'll do my best Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,193 Amount Saved: 547.5 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 4 Mins: 34 Seconds: 44

Exercise!

Thanks for your encouragement Lizzie, It's good to hear from people who have a longer term experience of quitting and it's great to hear that things get better! Exercise!

Hi Lizzie, 5 grand? That's fantastic! Enough for a new car / kitchen / round the world cruise. Could go on and on. I'm certainly noticing a healthlier bank balance already. Whatever you do, reward yourself. You deserve it! Can't sleep?

Hi OinkOink2u, Nice to correspond with people on both sides of the Atlantic. Your quitting experiences are very relevant to me as our quit dates are only a week apart. 3 months for you on Tuesday. That's fantastic!! Mr Ed :)
