Hello
For what its worth I smoked fo 36 years, I am 49 years old and I think that it is all the same. It is all about dealing with addiction and what happens in our brain and body when we are chemically dependent. The one thing that is simple and never easy is that one smoke will mean that I am smoking and back in the addiction. I don't think any one here has an easy time of this, (check your post NEEK). This is simply HARD.

Congratulations.
Feelin all of those things on the second day is not unusual. The talk in this site is that within 3 days of not smoking your body has purged the nicotine. So think of this as your body cleansing itself. Drink lots of water, treat yourself very kindly and get as much sleep as you would like. This will all pass.

Good Idea. Another place to calm to wild beast.
I promise to come to this site, ask for help and read the replys before I give up. I will wait for at least ten replies. (and I will not leave the computer until they get there)

I am really, really surprised, shocked, stumbling around looking to understand.
WHAT IS SLIPPING?
To me slipping is smoking. Plan and simple if I buy, beg, borrow or steal a cigarette, light it, drag the smoke into my lungs. I am smoking. I am smoking ... I have two choices, continue to smoke or quit smoking.
I only hope that if I slip I can get back on the quit and move on. I also hope that in getting back on I will have learned something and that out of the learning I can do different and get on with living the life I want to live.
To me hearing someone say that they have "slipped" is like they are in denial.
Please come here post, read, talk to someone in your world about how close you are to smoking. Have an emergency plan worked out for going in the opposite direction of the next smoke, the next puff. please please do what you can and DO NOT SMOKE. And if you do smoke please be truthful, be couragous and tell the truth. This community is built on the trust that becomes manifest when people tell th truth about their addiction and the truth about their lives.
Sadly, Phillip
