Celebrating 30 days - no fun!

And this too shall pass. Please stay strong my bright and beautiful Sunflower. Please be gentle with yourself. Please speak kindly to yourself. Please know for yourself how much you have moved through and how strong, couragious and persistant you have been in getting to 30 days! Congratulations. Perhaps your reward could be to give yourself the gift of some unconditional love and some very soothing breaths to your self. Pat yourself on the back. Give yourself a gentle and kind caress. Congratulations of 30 days! One man's opinion on "the quit meter"

Rob47 Thanks for your post today at 11:25 and for really spelling out how deadly serious you take quitting! I really appreciate that you have said that you are have put your emotions into this. It is only by putting our emotions into this quit that we will make it our last quit. I totally identify with your description of the three month quit that was really a quit with a lot of puffs. I totally did that as I simply was too afraid to tell myself that I had lost the battle and was smoking again. This quitting thing is totally challenging and it is so difficult that people (myself that is the people I speak of) try and try they work at it and they hedge around it and they brush up against it, and I simply was not willing to take the bull by the horns and speak plainly and truthfully to myself. What I said was that if I did not stop and stop completely, no NTR, no pipes, no cigars, no smoke period, at all I would die. I would be responsible for taking my own life. I would be committing suicide. I have been able to stay in my resolve to stay quit and to be very firm with myself, having told myself my truth about what I as doing to myself. Thanks for posting. Thanks for telling the truth about how serious this quit is for you. Hope you are doing well today and that the renovations are smooth as plaster dust on newly sanded wood floors. What to do with myself

Chico Many people have started to exercise. Many people walk. Some people shop and others read. Some people go outside and enjoy their parks and the places where they live. Some people clean their house and others plant a garden. Some people cook all kinds of food and others start to take school courses. Some people spend more time with their kids and others take on a project that will build their community. Some people, like myself, spend a lot of time here, reading writing and posting. Many many people here do all sorts of different things to add to their lives, this augments and reenforces their quit. We all spent between 2 and 4 hours smoking every day of our lives, that is likely the most time on any single task besides sleeping. Find something healty, relaxing and enjoyable for you. You can do it and there are a zillion options no matter where you are. Keep us informed about what you are going to do. I wouldl ike to hear how you fill in your time. Have a lovey, full and rich day. Just don't smoke. Phillip :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 35 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 708 Amount Saved: $262.5 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 18 Mins: 25 Seconds: 13

Help!!!

Kaiser Stand strong. You know that smoking will not change any of what is happening. You know that if you do smoke you will only feel worse about youself. Also please know that no matter what by NOT SMOKING in this time of stress and agitation, you will feel better about yourself and more proud once you are through to the other side. All of this will pass! Stand Strong. Hold on tight to your commitment. We are here for you and stand with you. Help!!!

Kaiser Redrosie says it all, and I will add Breath. Remember to breath. Sucking the air into your lungs and belly helps to oxygenate the blood which helps to move all the other stuff through our system. Breath, breath, breath. You might also remember that you might need to find a quiet, secluded little place to let outa few yells or screams. That might move some energy. You are doing well and you are gettin through. Keep posting and keep on standing strong.
