Thanks you guys.........you rock! I REALLY appreciate your kind words. Today was not as bad as I dreamed it would be. But - tonight is just as bad as I knew it would be! I really want to smoke. For some reason I only really want to smoke when I'm at home. Not sure why. DUH!!!!! It just doesn't make any sense. I'm sitting here typing with tears streaming down my face for some stupid cancer stick that is going to kill me! I never should've picked up that first cig.......I should've just dealt with the stress, because this is the pits! I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm taking a sleeping pill and going to bed. This too shall pass?????????????? Retread.......................

Well, I blew it. I had to deal with a very nasty situation and I had a choice of drinking (sober alcoholic 5 years) or smoking - so I smoked. I wish I'd never lit up. This was last weekend and I went all week without a cigarette and then tried to convince myself that I could just smoke on weekends and started in again Saturday morning. This morning I had 4 cigs in and hour and a half. Right back to where I was in my smoking. Just like Vicki says - just one puff away from 2 packs a day. That nicodemon sure is pushy! I wish he would shut up. There is no good excuse for what I did and I regret it. If you are new here - don't kid yourself. You can't smoke normally. None of us can. Don't even try it. I did the test for you! So tomorrow I start on my quit again. I picked a bad time to screw up too because I work for a tax man and tax season is upon me! Stress galore. Oh well, nobody to blame but myself. Yes I am depressed and feel like a big loser. I do believe I've learned something from this.....that I will always be an addict. I guess I need to find another way to deal with stress, huh? Any words of encouragement would be appreciated. Thank you all for being here for me. 3rd times a charm?

Well I certainly hope so. I am so sick of this. Start stop start stop. I picked today to quit because of Lent. No excuses, no reasons. Just done. If you are new here and you have ANY quit time, PLEASE DON'T PICK UP THAT FIRST CIGARETTE. IT'S NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. You will be right back to the same disgusting smoking habit in days. Trust me, I was. I am going to stick real close this time. Please pray for me. 3rd times a charm?

Thank you all. I made it through yesterday and this morning. So far so good. Lady is right, just don't light that first cig and you'll be ok. I am going to check in everyday. I work for an accountant and we are in the midst of tax season, but I am going to make time. This is my life we are talking about here. The stupid tax returns can wait for just a minute or two. Lord knows they aren't going anywhere. I am so grateful for this site and all the support. I never thought I would relapse and I am so glad you all welcomed me back with open arms. It means a lot. My husband is so funny. He doesn't understand why I can't just smoke like 5 cigs a day! HA! I smoke that many before I get to work! Anyway, back to the grind. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND WORDS! 18 days and counting

Hi all. I've missed you. I wanted to wait until I had some real time until I came back to the site. This time I quit cold turkey, because................I'm going to be a mom! I don't know about you all but it seemed like cold turkey was easier in some ways, and harder it others! I'm just glad to be nic free again. It feels wonderful. YEAH ME!
