Welcome to the program. Have you been doing the readings and activities? They could be quite useful to you as you wait for your meds to adjust. Millions of people have found much success on medications so I'm glad you are giving it a try. They can be adjusted if you have side effects. There should be one for you. Talking to a counsellor is also a great idea! Keep posting here too if you find that helpful.
Congratulate yourself for taking these important first steps to health!
Ranis, if you are a 'people person', it can be very challenging for you to not have many friends. Friends are hard to find, no matter what. Please keep up with the CBT as that will help you realize that you are not your thoughts! I'm sure members will have some suggestions about the challenges with friends when trying to get better. Is there a panic/anxiety/mental health related support group in your area? People who understand your struggle would make good acquaintances.
It's great that you took this first important step! This program is 12-weeks and involves tools, activities, and readings. Each session is based on the previous session, so we advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. There are many people within this support group that share the same questions and concerns as you. We are all a group of individuals who support each other.
If you are interestsed, look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS", where you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. Their purpose is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.
Please continue to strive forward and lean on us for support.
You should be able to safely take a multi-vitamin. If you are going to take extra doses of specific vitamins or minerals, it would be best to consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Glad to hear you are mixing up your routine and doing well medically! Hope you are doing ok this week back at work. Keep up with the program and hyour awareness... spring will be here before you know it!
It's good to hear that you are noticing an improvement in your anxiety; however, side effects of medications do not always fade away. If you are experiencing side effects that bother you or worsen, please ask your doctor specifically about those.
