You just hang in there. This is nothing more than a test, a test of your will power. You must learn to deal with the stress in others ways, but bottom line, NO SMOKING. You can make it and you will make it. I know it must be hard while you're in to it with hubby, but don't let his words discourage you. Think about waking up tomorrow with another day on the meter and a new day for you and hubby to try again. If need be go back and review the coping mechanisms that you used in the begnning of your quit.
Stay strong.....you can get through this

Welcome to the SSC and congrats on your quit! Go ahead, ramble away, that's what we're here for. Yes, that nasty voice can be very loud at times but you can tell him to shut up. Keep telling him that you are bigger than he is, that your health is more important than he is and that you will win, he will lose, so he might as well go away now and save himself the suffering pain of defeat. And for those times, he tries not to listen, come here and post and read and then post some more. Just being here helps a lot. Also make sure to take full advantage of the program on the left.
Stay strong and keep your reslove

Of course you can join us. Welcome aboard and congratulations on your decision to quit.
My husband is still smoking too, but he has taken measures to make my quit easier...he only smokes outside now and he makes sure that he does not come around me smelling of smoke, he will even take an extra shower or two a day to ensure he doesn't smell bad for me. I hope you will get the support you need from your hubby.
Be sure to check in with us often, and post anytime you need to or want to. This is a great support group and there's always someone here to help you through the tough times
Here's to another smoke-free day!
