Hi Pamela! Welcome to your new life as a non-smoker :) Stay glued to the site, we're here for you. U can do anything you want except smoke. Pray, scream, cry, beat up your pillow, eat ice cream, jelly beans (worked 4me) lol. Call your friends or read and post in this site. Barnes and Noble is a good place to hang out & maybe get something from starrbucks while your there :) Check out the book by Allen Carr, "The Easy Way To Stop Smoking". Hang in there one minute at a time. A craving will last approx. 15 min's. U gotta ride the wave from the bottom to the top and back down again. A hot bath, some candles & any relaxation techniques will help also. Don't forget to breath deep, it helps alot cuz you're use to taking in deep breaths.
Hang in there :) You made the right choice to quit! U deserve it :)

Thanks for the admiration u guys.
Life is not a dress rehersal or a game to me. It's the real thing. I gotta make this one shot count for the good. I want to live a long healthy life and not allow a substance to control me. Life's short, it's not something to play with or take lightly. We must appreciate what we're given and see drugs for what they are and not let them ruin the life we're so preciously given. Life's already short enough and will be over before we know it so why shorten it even more? Why waste our lives away by suffocating ourselves with poisen. We are to intelligent to allow a substance to take away our lives. The only reasons cig's are legal are to kill us quicker and take our money. Money/Power/Control/Death/Destruction/Pain = Evil
Love/Family/Life/Giving/Health = Good
Ok, let me stop, lol.
Sure glad this one got bumped! Tks Lady :) :) :) Congrats on your quit!!! You're awesome :)

An addict is an addict. No such thing as a grey addict, lol. U either are or are not an addict. I am addictted to ciggarette's. Therefore, 1 is too many and a thousands not enough. ONE DRAG OFF A CIGGARETTE IS CALLED SMOKING. That's all it takes to start smoking just like we never stopped. If I have 1 drag off a ciggarette today I will most likely start smoking just like I never stopped. It might not be today but probably by the end of the week, lol. Why?? Because I'm addictted to ciggaretts. That's why I'm here for support and that's why I decided to quit. Don't allow the junkie talk in your head fool you into thinking that you can have a "slip" and still be a non-smoker. A non-smoker doesn't slip. A non-smoker doesn't smoke. There's no grey in this subject "FOR ME", because I'm an addict and one's too many and a thousands not enough! I'm either smoking or I'm not. I chose to not smoke today :) Hang in there everybody. No playing with words or justifing in a way that allows you or gives you permission to SMOKE. Stay away from slippery spots or you will slip and if you slip you are smoking.
If you go to a barber shop enough times, sooner or later you're going to get your haircut!!!
