I have eight days now and this is my first post. I'm doing ok... I go to a 'tobacco cessation' group once a week and am on the patch which dropped by 7mg after the first 7 days. I guess thats all. You all keep going, you're my inspiration.
I'm having the chocolate munchies since I quit too. Thanks for everybodies good words...I have gained 7 pounds in two weeks EEEKKK! Time to pull back I'd say.
I'm just beginning my third week and it is getting much better. The first couple of weeks I was brushing my teeth with every crave and now I'm getting nice pearly whites but I need a new toothbrush. The Cravings now arent nearly as intense, I can sort of flick them aside. I'm hoping it just keeps getting easier... best wishes to you!
I've picked up reading for pleasure again. I'm rereading 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe' right now. I had forgotten how much I liked to read. I also have been visiting friends I havent seen in quite awhile, picking up old friendships.
Best to all...
PS I cant get my Mileage to show up but this is day 17 for me)
I'll put myself in this here parade and hope like hell I hit the hundreds like the others.

Thank you for suggesting we (newbies) read Joe Cool's thread. I just did and I am emotional but havent felt this strong about my quit since it started. Its a must read!

In my life there are lots of stressors and I wont drag on about them but when I started my nonsmoking I began to notice than my hair started to fall out at an alarming rate. My hair brush fills up quickly (every day or two) and I'm wondering if anyone else had this happen?
