Who else loves to exercise?

I do enjoy exercising. However, I find that i'm too lazy to do those vigourous exercises (which i heard are good for anxiety). Rather, i find that yoga really helps me relax. Yoga and meditation sort of take me to another world of relaxation. Having a panic disorder, i find it very hard to be calm ANYTIME of the day...even if i'm not doing anything i feel nervous. So Yoga is really helping me have time to myself. It relaxes me and helps me breath better! You all should try it! Its great! ;)

How much is to much

Hi mysticmiror! About the medication your taking, i'm not sure what is considered too much. But you really should try to go the natural way. I am seeing a homeopathic doctor for my panic/anxiety. Although it does take a while until you see results, i feel more comfortable knowing that there are no side affects. Its natural, its good for you, and it works with time. If you have any more questions about this, feel free to message me.

Please help panic 's back

Hi Kitty. I'm so sorry to hear that. But if it would make you feel better, EVERYONE IS SICK. I dont' know if its the weather change or what, but even i got sick. And believe me, i was like you. I had a cold and infection and i was freaking out cause i was anxious about it. But the point here is, learn from my mistake...don't be worried at all. Its just a headache or stomach ache and it will go away. Just drink hot soup, pop in a movie and relax...u owe it to urself !

for you all

Thank you kitty for your kind words. It feels good to have a support group. Just one thing, panic/anxiey is NOT a disease. Don't label yourself as being "sick." because we do not have a disease. Its actually not even supposed to be called a 'disorder.' Anxiety/panic is more of a behavioural condition. So nothing is wrong with you...you are normal! And we are just dealing with some anxiety....but hopefully this too shall pass.

One question about goal setting

Hi everyone! I just have a question. I'm a bit confused about the goal setting plan. I have a list of 10 goals. Am i supposed to make an exposure plan for ALL of these goals or just some? And when am i supposed to finish doing this exposure work? Is their a time line? Like If i have a goal....should i do step 1 through 10 in a matter of one week.......OR, should i do just step 1. See i'm sort of confused here. Plz let me know what i'm supposed to do so i can get started here. thanks so much. It just seems so overwhelming to have to reach 10 goals in a matter of time. Thanks!

anxiety on daily basis

HI everyone! I hope all is doing well. I know i'm not doing that great lately. I am seeing a homeopathic doctor and i'm noticing a lot of good changes. But once i started school, i became soooo stressed out again and my panic attacks have been coming back. Once they come back, i feel anxious like crazy. Im just wondering if everyone here experiences anxiety on DAILY BASIS also. Because i wake up everyday thinking negative/anxious thoughts about my health and happiness. I keep thinking and feeling like i cannot breath normally. I'm always afraid to go out or even to stay home. I always feel sick and weak. And this anxiety is making me so depressed and scared to live my life. I am only 21 years old.....i want to live my life but i feel as though i cannot. So is it normal to experience this anxiety every single day? Does everyone here always think about it? Think negative/anxious thoughts? And does this lead you to feel chest pain and breathing problems?

anxiety on daily basis

Thanks caitlin and gina for responding so quickly! I do feel great that i joined this website a while ago. I'm in my 4th week of the panic program. I feel that it has opened doors for me. I feel that i am a little more powerful in some way because I have the knowledge about panic attacks. "knowledge = power" But i feel that sometimes i cannot rely on this program to help me.Dont get me wrong, nothng is wrong with the program...its actually very good. But, I feel sometimes that I am not good enough to do this on my own. I noticed that with my anxiety, my self-esteem has reallyyyyyy gone down tremendously. And this is what is making me depressed and scared. I just cannot seem to feel independent because i'm sooo afraid...i want someone else to "heal me." I guess this takes time and i need to learn patience. And yes caitlin, i also experience ALOT of tight chest muscles. I have been to the doctor this month approximately 4-5 times just complaining about chest pains, difficulty breathing, tight muscles. I also got a cold last week with an infection my chest and i freaked out cause i coudlnt' breath normally. I was so angry at myself cause i'm wondering if i started this infection myself. I am also worried cause my lymphnodes (near my left breast) are swollen and hurting...so now i have to see a specialist. Basically, i freak out when i feel like something is wrong with my health. I cannot seem to think positive. I'm just wondering if this is all because of anxiety or if something is really wrong. Sorry for the long message. I just feel better when i nkow that i'm not alone. Thanks for making me feel better. p.s: Do you feel a burning sensation when you breath? I guess its from concentrating on my breathing so much.....but i hope this is just anxiety.

anxiety Help!

HI Vanessa. Dont' worry, just because its back, it doesn't mean anything bad. I actually experienced the same thing not too long ago. I did experience about 3 weeks to a month of feeling stronger than this anxiety. Then all of a sudden, the panic attacks came back. I kept asking myself why i think its coming back. Keep questioning yourself.....don't go easy on this anxiety. Question yourself WHY are u feeling this way. What were you thinking about when you were feeling great that month.....and think about what you are thinking about now with the anxiety. Keep asking why, why, why, so what etc....until you get to the core of the problem. Maybe you are stressed out about something. For example, my anxiety increases with school and exams etc.....thats why its comign back for me. try this strategy. I hope it helps. I reallyhope you feel better. Those great moments are the best. At least you know that there is hope for you to feel this way.......free from anxiety one day!

hurricane

Don't worry gina. We are ALL praying for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. YOu are strong gina....i know you are. Just to make you feel a bit better, its normal to feel nervous and afraid of a hurricane. EVERYONE feels what you are feeling right now. So dont' feel like you are not normal in any way. Just pray, do everything necessary to prepare for the hurricane, and have faith. God be with you all!

One question about goal setting

Thanks for the information Josie. That was so sweet of you to take the time to help me. I love this website! Just one thing though...when you refer to "experiment", do you mean my overall GOAL.....or the STEPS to reach that goal. Because my steps are in order from least fear to MOST fear. And the last step is rated 10 in terms of fear. So do you mean that i shouldn't be doing the last step that is rated 10>? I'm sorry, i dont' mean to bother you like this. I just want to make sure i'm doing this properly. Also, should I work with one goal at a time? Or can i work on a few goals?
