I quit smoking yesterday, and what a first day it was. I this is my third go at quitting, and I am DETERMINED this time. I KNOW that I can do it.
So yesterday: everything at work was going wrong, I got in a huge fight and lost my best friend, people invited me out for smoke breaks, my friend tried to smoke
in my car, I had a beer, he smoked on the couch right beside me, I was stressing ETC and I STILL DIDN'T SMOKE!!!! :D I am so proud of myself. I made it though
and didn't even flip on anyone :) I hope you all have as much motivation as me because I now believe that is the trick. You have to KNOW that you can and are going to
BE A NON-SMOKER. That is just the way it is now. I wish you all luck, but that's not what you need you need condifience, but all the same good luck to all!
Hey! Don't give up when a craving hits, you really CAN do anything you want! I am successfully quit for 4 days now and even though I put myself in a couple
trigger situations I found ways to deal with the cravings. If you usually smoke while your driving, stick a motivational message/pic to your dashboard, and keep a stress
ball handy to keep your hand busy. Cranking the good sing alone tunes is also helpful I found cause you can't really smoke and sing at the same time! Avoid the really stressful
triggers (ie. bars) and if you have breaks at work/school I take magazines and scratch tickets so I can stay warm inside and occupy myself. Hope some of these help :) You can do it!
I have been taking Champix and it works so well. I have quit with many different methods before but nothing works so well as this little pill.
Only problem is, I get horribly nausous every time I take it. I always eat and drink lots of water when I take it, and it does not help. It is
so bad that I sometimes feel the need to pull over on the side of the road on my way to work. Any advice or tips to help get past this would
be greatly appreciated!!
