Newbie, taking my 1st steps

Newbie, taking my 1st steps

Oh no. Forgot to reward myself. Guess that means I'll have to go fishing twice this weekend!

Pretty soon I'm going to have to join an over eaters support forum. Or maybe see if there are any wing eating contests around. How much can you win at those contests?

If I won I could buy lots of blue cheese and pepperettes. Beer, I could buy beer to wash down all those high cholesterol foods that I so love. Oh I can see myself now. Sitting in my spot on the love seat watching Biggest Loser. Bread board resting on the arm of the love seat, loaded with a mountain of blue cheese, pepperettes inserted into the mountain resembling trees. I could put some of those bread and butter pickles on there too. They'd be the grass at the base of the mountain. I'd drink great bear out of one of my antique steins. It would be like Oktoberfest every day. Ein Prosit.

Oh, I have to stop. I'm starting to drool. Besides I gotta get to the pet store to buy some flea spray.

Cheers

Thanks for trying. I'll just keep reminding everyone that I'm Canadian. Still smoke free. No real issues other being Canadian.

I ate well today. Nothing better then the 10 AM pork schnitzel. Oh, and blue cheese. Both Canadian. It stunk the office out  ha ha ha.

Did I mention I just became an Indian? Yep a real Canadian Indian. I'm not sure what I was before but now it's official. The government even sent me a letter saying so. I got the letter the same week I quit smoking. What a bummer. If it came a week earlier I could have smoked a peace pipe.

Back to the food. Had steak, squash and roasted potatoes for dinner. Canadian Grade A steak. That's strange, Grade A. Isn't everthing Grade A. Have you ever gone grocery shopping and bought Grade B or C steak? I think not.

I don't know what's on the menu tomorrow. I think I'll take some left over ham from the other night for lunch. It's Canadian ham incase you haven't guessed. We have some real big porkers up here.

I bought this stuff the other day. I don't know what to call it. It's not mustard, it's just stuff. Holy smokes, it says sweet and spicy, but if you get this in your eyes you better call 911. Yes I often get food in my eyes. Well, they are close to my mouth. Ok, I have a nose in between but it happens.

The other thing that happens, happens with olives. Olives will jump off my spoon just as I've freed them from the jar. Then they bounce off my belly, hit the floor and roll under the dish washer.  Oh, that brings me back to blue cheese. Olives and blue cheese go great together, but I can't put the olives on the bread board. If I do, it's like playing that wood game Labyrinth, and I always lose.

Gotta go. Need another cup of coffee. It's Tim Horton's! Canadian eh.

Cheers

Happy anniversary Cap. 1000 days is great.  I'm pretty sure I've got this smoking thing licked. When can I start smelling the roses and tasting the food I'm devouring? Truthfully I haven't noticed any positive side effects, just the negative one's. Grouchy and hungry.

BTW was it a coincidence that the picture you picked has two people behind you smoking?

Alohakeia, thanks for the tip on the olives, cutting them in half. However that has been band here in Canada along with pummelling moose with tim bits.

Cheers

I made chicken parma something.  It was amazing. First you pound down the chicken breast to about a 1/2" thick. Throw it in a mixture of milk and egg. Toss it around in a bowl of bread crumbs. Brown it in a pan of hot oil. Set oven to 350, put chicken in baking pan thingy. Cover with 13 dollars of grated parmesean cheese then top with pizzza sauce. Bake for 25 minutes and bam your done. Other than that I had a bagel and a few Kiwi's today. Kiwi's the fruit, not actual New Zelanders. That would be wrong.

I may have been stretching a bit with the olive law, but the moose and timbit's. That's 100% true. If you pummell them in Moosonee the fines are doubled.

Jeez, almost forgot, I made date squares on the weekend. Yummy.

Cheers

If I keep eating like this I won't be able to see my feet soon.
That would be ok if I didn't like my feet, but my feet are perfect.
My wife calls my toes, "pods".
I know she's just jealous!

Oh yeah, still not smoking!

Cheers

Well, that's it kids. I'm done. Still not smoking. Time to check out of here. I'll be back if I need to but I doubt it. Smoked at least 1/2 a pack for 25 years. Quitting went remarkably easy. The first week really sucked. The trick is to stay busy. As you may recall I painted the living room, had showers at three in the morning, talked to myself, posted about blue cheese, olives, Indians and all manner of things. If I can do it so can you. Good luck. Eh!

Cheers

Newbie, taking my 1st steps

Holy smokes I'm back. What a train wreck. After not having a puff for 5 months a guy offers me a big fat Cuban stogie. First I say no thanks, then my rubber arm starts to twist and I say yes. I bring it home that night. Can't remember if I lite it that night or the next. Doesn't matter now, but I made it last a week. A puff here, a puff there, here a puff, there a puff every night a puff puff. Ah, that was relaxing. Maybe I could have a couple smokes at night after work. What's the harm. Can you guess where this story's going? Yep, back to half a pack a day. So now I have two problems. I ate like a moose during those 5 months and now I smoke again.

Ok, enough whining. What's that saying. If you fall off the moose you gotta get right back on. Well that's what we say up here anyways. Didn't that winter suck? Opps, whining again! I think the friggin sun came out twice. Alright here's the plan. I'm going to quit cold turkey again next Friday. Good Friday. Hmm, maybe I should quit on easter Monday. It might be more appropriate. Kinda like the resurrection of Rudy!

Stay tuned!
