This is a really hard day - I am so stressed out but AM NOT GOING TO SMOKE!! My husband goes outside to smoke so that there are no cigarettes to be seen at home - today is one of those days that if there were cigarettes around I would be smoking without a doubt. I know that I will never buy them so I am safe. Whew!

I just wanted to welcome you as well as say that I am also a new quitter! Today is my 2 week mark and it is getting easier as time goes - the first 5 days were so hard but I just resigned to the fact that I will be in some discomfort, pain, agitation and allow myself to be in it. I reward myself with little things everyday and remind myself that I am saving my life one breath at a time. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Let's stick together in this..

You know these cravings can get pretty intense sometimes- today I started work after being off for over a year and a half...on the way home I drove faster than usual because I wanted my "reward"..then I remembered that my reward is not smoking - took my time and slowed down. I am relying heavily on breathing techniques to take the place of smoking and it does work. Today was a tough one though..
