Thanks everyone for your support!!! I made it through day 3 and sitting here typing after my class instead of smoking a cigarette out on the porch as I usually do. I keep "forgetting" that I quit - and have to remind myself. Well, I am so happy I found this site, there is no other like it!! So many great people here!!

I have to admit I would probably still be smoking except I am currently enrolled in Chemical Addiction studies and the more I learned about nicotine, etc., the more ridiculous it seemed to me to be buying into this - I am off to explore more on this site and read some posts. Thanks EVERYBODY!!!

WOW!! You guys are GREAT!! I am having coffee right now and dying for a cigarette but am NOT going to have one. Instead I am just deep breathing and thinking of how much healthier I will be once this is over. I am pretty convinced that if I can get through the first month smoke free then I will not ever smoke. This is the challenge - right now!!

I know perhaps I am a little co-dependent on this site right now but I am having a really hard time this morning! It just comes in waves and then goes. The urge is so strong that I think I will just take a hot bath and go back to sleep - wake up and just get on with my day. I can see why they call this "Hell Week"....not an understatement! Just came back from class and of course on the way home my mind went on auto pilot and I thought of having a cigarette when I got home then realized that I DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE!! I am doing deep breathing and drinking licorice tea for my very sore throat that I still have. I am so happy to be on my day 4 - thanks to all you AMAZING people!!

My husband is picking fights with me and raising my stress level to an obscene level - I am working hard at staying away from him as long as I can at least until I can get a grip on my quit, but he is making it really tough and even said to me "Why don't you go smoke a cigarette and leave?" What a JERK!
