This one HAS to stick !

Jeannie,  I think you'll find it won't be long before "the automatic cigarette reach" stops.  Drink lots of ice water, walk, sleep, deep breaths, etc.  CSI and Law and Order were two of my BIGGEST coping tools!  One day at a time,

A Mid Year Duffism

A very nice reminder, Duffis.  Sometimes we get caught up in life and in the very awareness of not smoking and forget to laugh, be silly, or have fun.  I know I do.  Hmmmm....more fun...I REALLY like the idea.

Hello.. I sure will need help quitting

Hi Steve, welcome to SSC.  I think that once you make the decision to quit, that's half the battle.  For the longest time I had wanted to quit, and not quit, and then quit, and not quit...etc...etc.  I had quite the argument going on in my head.
I think partly fear was what kept me from doing this.  When you take up this challenge in small increments, one crave, one hour, one day at a time, it IS doable.  And we're all here to help.  Glad you're taking advantage of your doctor and NRT'S to help you.  Do whatever it takes.  You'll be thankful in the end...not to mention healthier!!!!!  Best of luck to you.

Cheers,

Jan

28 months for Riverdale Man!

Congratulations Phillip!!!!  You have been a wonderful source of inspiration for me.  It's just that it took me a time or two to get it right!!!!!  Your stats are amazing, and glad you pop in from time to time.  Rusty is right...you are missed.  My two beagles, Holly and Casey, are doing well.  How is your beagle doing?  Glad you're getting feeling healthier with a smoke free lifestyle.
