Hi,
I am a 50 year old female who has smoked for approximately 35 years and on occasion have managed to quit for short periods of time only. Life has not been easy and I always find a reason to say that now is not the right time.
One of my oldest friends was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November which has spread to the brain and throughout her body - should be a definite reason to stop ... she is 73
Another long term friend had his lung removed 15 years ago but was still addicted to nicotine gum and eventually needed Oxygen to breath - I attended his funeral a few weeks ago - he was 82
My father has emphazimia and needs an inhaler - he cannot walk very far at all without being very out of breath - he was a long term pipe smoker but a year ago switched to e-cigarettes - he is 74
So why on earth am I still smoking??!! I have an e-cigarette but people keep telling me that maybe it's not the right time for me to quite with all that's going on and I use that as an excuse ....
I am not very proud of myself!
