As Rock so rightly says Deb, every day not smoking is an achievement. Whether its one day down or one hundred days down, as people who were formely addicted to a substance then every day is worth celebrating and only another ex smoker would understand that- so celebrate your days, you've earned the right.

So happy to see that you are going strong!  Keep going Deb!

Be prepared for weird, weak moments.  I was cleaning out my car recently and found an odd pack.  In the blink of an eye I wanted to smoke.

Watch out for the Nicodemon.

Much love and support.

Hi Deb!  I am one of the Deb's that Bob spoke of.  We are becoming quite a force around here :)

Day 2!  Maybe by the time you read this, day 3!  I am always one of the latest in the day to post.

Hold on, Girl.  The first week is really, disgustingly hard.  You will fight so hard that your body will ache.  You are in Hell week..... but then, heck week comes.  And you will still fight, but there will be moments when you know you will be able to get through it.

Self destruction ends now.
hugs and support for you,
deb

Hi Deb
Congratulations on your decision to quit
It is a thrilling rollercoaster ride!  It's challenging, but empowering. So prepare yourself as much as you can! It is easier to defeat your enemy if you know it!. Learn about your triggers. So you can be prepared when a craving or smoking tought arrives. The good thing is that you have to defeat jus tone craving or smoking tought at a time!
This process gets easier as time goes by. The first two weeks are the hardest, but If we can do it, you can do it too!!
Have a rewards system ready! Sourround yourself by quitting aids like iced water, low cal snack like celery and carrot stick. Relaxing music, hot showers, enough sleep, fruit juices, hard cany, popsicles, something to get your hands busy, like a sudoku puzzle or a stress ball.
MM and Rock always recommend to change your routine, because we associate cigarrettes with our daily routine. Plan ahead: If you smoked in the car, take something to keep your hand busy while you drive, a straw cut the size of a cigarrette helps!
The Allen Carr Book is great too!
But above all, have no soubts about your decision. Make it a nonnegotiable decision!!
Congratulations
Marivi
