This morning was easy.  This afternoon got pretty bad but when I was tempted I just told myself I don't need those they won't help.  Went out to my truck and got one of those lozenges and started playing a game now going to bed.  Made it.  Now for tomorrow thanks everyone.
Bryan congrats to you bud another day under your belt your doing awesome.  If you can do it I can.

Hi Jay.........

One thing to keep in mind is that those of us who have some time under our belts were at some point exactly where you are at now.  I remember feeling like I would never be successful at putting down the smokes for good.  Keep educating yourself about the addiction.  Like Pat says,  Knowledge is power.

Good wishes your way

Hi Jay, it's not easy to stay up on this horse, I know.  Don't beat yourself up...it does no good, trust me.  I don't know if you've seen my latest post from my "I'm flipping out" post, I am going to allow myself one smoke per day until I am past the crazy B---h stage.

We have to do this...we know we do and we have to do it in whatever way we find works for us.  SO far, so good today...no stress and no strong desire or craving; so it's a good day so far.

Keep up the fight and never give up.  IT IS DOABLE!!!

Thanks Miss Marple

I don't plan on giving up.  I fell off the horse but am getting right back on.  If I happen to fall again I will just get back on again eventually it will get easier and  I'll learn to ride that horse.  I did smile this morning I woke up and after a bit I noticed hey I didn't reach for what isn't there.  Normally my eyes open and first thing is to reach for them.  Hopefully I'll get a load so I can get back to being busy and it will be easier and less available as I can't stop just anywhere.  So far so good today.

Sorry to hear you slipped, but don't be too hard on yourself.  The trick is to never quit quiting.  Practice makes perfect, etc....  Pick yourself up, dust that Texas dust off of you and make another go at it!  You CAN do it.  I promise.

I had a slip today so reset my meter for tomorrow as I want it to show only smoke free days.  I made it one whole day and then some.  I have been sitting at this truck stop since Sunday waiting for a load out of Laredo, TX.  Had a real hard day with it.  Went in to eat supper and just couldn't resist since I have to walk past there big wall full of them and to think I thought I was in a lull when I went in.  I'm not giving up tomorrow is another day.  Sure doesn't help that the only tv station I get good here is in spanish not much else to do here.  I'm bringing out a game I haven't played in a long time hopefully that will help keep me busy.

Not excuses a weakness I guess.  You would think I'm really a stubborn kind of person that I would be able to do this easy but man it's hard.  I hate failure.   Like I said before I sure have alot of respect for those of you that have made it.

I have read alot about Alan Carr's book wish I could get it but won't be home until the 19th of Feb. hopefully depends on how the money goes.
