Welcome, Danno
I don't think I can add anything to what penitent and nonic have said about the inner workings of quitting. The process you are in now gives you the opportunity to look at the times, triggers, and reasons you light up. I think many, if not most of us, don't figure out those things until we have actually stopped smoking. I agree with the guys, long term success comes from the true desire to be free of this addiction.
The tricks and tips that will help you achieve that goal are abundant, and as Bimo has pointed out, we each need to find our own particular combination. So, when you're ready, let us know, and I am sure the support and suggestions will come rolling in.
I smoked for 36 years and was up to at least 2 packs a day, and since my quit date haven't had a single puff. I used chantix and this site...my winning combination :)
Welcome aboard
