Thanks again.. I made it another day and back home... Again work was soooo buzy that I only had a few weak moments.. that I thought it would be great to sneak outside.. but I DID NOT!!! The evening is the worst time along with first thing in the AM I am just glad that I do not have any cigs around the house!!! It would take a real effort to buy cigs & matches... Thank goodness.. I am just too lazy to go to all of that trouble. Doodles, You are getting there just take it one day at a time. It looks like you have a great quit buddy with Kelly so I see the 2 of you hitting 30 day without a hitch. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 161 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,220 Amount Saved: $1,046.50 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 17 Mins: 37 Seconds: 56

thank for all the encouragement!!! DAY 3!!! only 3 more hours & I will be smoke free for 72 hours!!! Work was VERY busy.. I have a very small retail shop and we had lots of customers & and lots of merchandise coming in today.. I never really had time to pay any attention to a crave or eat!!! This morning was a little tricky but I took a quick walk after dropping the kids off at school and that left little time to get ready for work. KEEPING BUZY seems to be the key!! By the way... My 8yr son did tell me on the way to flag football practice this afternoon that he was happy that I didn't smoke anymore ( he has no idea that i slipped last week and that I'm starting all over again) I ask why.. He said that smoking causes cancer!! Where have I been???? He is only 8 years old and smarter than his MOM. thanks again.. I can do this!! I have to do this!!! Doodles Not silly at all..that's the way it usually is the first few days. I think it helps to plan ahead when you know you are going to be facing triggers. Look at when/why/how you smoked while working. If it was while you were sitting at your desk or talking on the phone, have substitutes ready, like straws, toothpicks, sugarfree mints, lollipops. And make sure you always have a bottle of ice cold water with you. If you used to smoke as a way to mark the end of a task, prepare some other reward, like take a brief walk, do a word find, read a page or two of a book or magazine, come here and read and post. You can post as many times a day as you want, you know. We LIKE to see how people are doing ;) Acknowledge that you feel like having a cigarette, or used to have one at those certain times, but then assert that you are not going to smoke. Why? Because you are a non smoker now, and nonsmokers don't smoke!!!! Ever!!@!!@!
