Lots of deep breathes, lots of water, hard candy, straws, toothpicks, fruit, veggies, gum, lots of deep breathes, lots of water, wait did I say deep breathes and water? LOL Remember you are learning to live life differently than want you have been doing. Change your routine a little if ya can. Example: I would wake up and have a cup of coffee and light up. NOW: I turn on the puter and drink my coffee. Example: I would go out for a smoke. Now: I go out for a walk down the block. You have to change the way you did things even if they are little things. It helps I know....I had to learn and am still learning! You can do this!! One day at a time! ?Lolo My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 114 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,280 Amount Saved: $513.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 8 Mins: 16 Seconds: 3

Hey everyone, This quit is a lot easier than my previous one 2 years ago. It's probably because I smoked for a lot less time this go around. I've had a few rough moments, but I just guzzle the ice water and take deep breaths and it passes. If I can offer advice to anyone quitting...its drink lots of ice water and take deep breaths! Cheers, Thanks for being around everyone! cbolts How are you doing today? Remember to take it one day at a time, one minute at a time, or one second at a time. Whatever you need to get through the crave/thought! Hey cbolts welcome i'm glad you decided to try and quit smoking again its the best thing you can do for yourself :) I know how hard it is to quit smoking this is my 3rd quit attempt and I also like you want to make this one last. Just do whatever you can to fight the craves when they hit drink ice cold water, eat hardcandy, go for a long walk, watch a movie etc. GL to you and stay smoke free your body will thank you for it :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 100 Amount Saved: $28.75 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 4 Mins: 35 Seconds: 15

Yah I've definitely learned which craving coping tools work for me. Ice water and lots of it seem to do the trick for drowning out the nic fits. Yah Sully I'm glad I came back soon as well, I'm hoping that this quit will be easier than last...but its never 'easy' is it? Thanks for the warm welcome back everyone;) Its good to be here.
