Jaset, yes, we're in it for life. SOOOO start planning that 100 day reward! BUT I must warn you that if you're smokin, ya better be on fire ! No cigars, of course I know you were only JOKEN!!!!! The sights on the beach can be lovely - I suggest you talk to Phil, as I hear he is quite the ladies man..... Jaset - as I am laughing - the BEACH is a virtual place where 100 day quitters (also called Centurions) go and kick some sand up and have a "Miller Time" if you will. I will go bump a beach thread, check it out -- this was something I really looked forward to early in my quit. You're doing this thing and while still being physcially in Buffalo (we have the same crap here only less snow!) the beach is a milestone in your quit journey. Enjoy ! Jaset, you have come a long way - I remember when you first got here and we chatted a little bit. You're on your way to the beach! This post is FANTASTIC. Truth & more truth. You have made some excellent points. Let me add one: symptoms of withdrawal are temporary - Death is permanent. Make the choice to change your life for the better. Great post pal. As for the hockey player, I would try to have "the talk" with him, I know you can only do so much but I would put some words of wisdom out there. Talk to your kids about smoking....... Jaset, Go hard Dude ! Remember Peeps, we are fighting a battle of the mind & there aint no room for weekness. Non of us ever expected that cigarettes would completely alter our perspective on life. Becoming a non-smoker makes for a Philosophical journey & thats the truth. All this from just giving up the cigs ! Nice post Jaset! I send the link to a friend of mine who I am trying to convince to quit. I would just like to add that this site is a godsend. You may have alcoholics anonymous, emotions anonymous, overeaters anonymous, gamblers anonymous, and all those support groups, but this support group is the best for quitting smoking bar none. I can prove that with my stats below. Check it out. Life smoke free is good. I'm so happy; I wish I would have done it sooner though, but it's done and done with now. Thank god!
