Simple Reward Ideas????

15 years ago 0 597 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Astrofan---you're spoiled!
Don't know (or care) about golf, but guns I know.  Last year for Valentine's Day I got a .40 Baby Glock.  I love my baby.  Not to many husbands would buy their wife a gun for Valentine's Day...
Perhaps I should shoot (pun intended) for an .45 ACP Luger this year

Not sure how I missed this thread.
Gogy Wog, you sure have been through quite a bit and stayed smoke-free---a big pat on the back for that!  Glad to hear about your new 'reward'; what's his\her name going to be?
Impala, wow!  That's some car you have there---enjoy yourself fixing it up.  I can't think of any better reward than doing something you enjoy.
It doesn't have to cost anything for some of those rewards either.  Going to the library and checking out a book you've been wanting to read and then carving out the time to actually read it.  A visit to someone you haven't seen in awhile and miss.  A hot bath while listening to relaxing music (use earphones if you have kids and make your spouse watch the little buggers).  A brisk walk with your favorite canine friend.  A hot cup of tea while you work a crossword.  An afternoon doing your finger and toenails instead of running the vacuum.  Frozen pizza for dinner instead of slaving over the stove.  All these things are 'treats' to me!

Thanks for all your input.  Your feedback and support has been a reward in itself.  I find myself watching more movies than before and I actually completed a book last night (and I don't really enjoy reading, but it passes the time).

No more pets, however....love em dearly but need no more.  Rewards.....the SIMPLE marvels of life!  I am loving the smell of fresh air.....enjoying the companionship of colleagues with whom I rarely associated with because they didn't take smoke breaks!!!!  I have LAUGHED more in the past week than over the past year as I return more oxygen to the brain.

I am planning a weekend getaway to Niagra Falls at 3-months.  Then for a long-term reward at 6 and 12-months the tobacco funds are being funneled into a secret off-shore Swiss bank account to aid in the restoration my 62 Impala.

Facing the challenges every minute of every day.....but finally see the upside to living tobacco free!

Thank you all for your support.
