Well here I am at 181 days. I never thought that I would get here -
it actually seems like time flew by. I have learned alot about human
nature...how our behavior (most of the time) is ruled by our emotions...how an addiction can ruin our lives...and how great it is to be a non-smoker.
I've had to rework relationships, outings, dinners out and other things that are important to me but it is all worth it when I can look in the mirror and know that I have done something for myself that will prolong my life and make it a healthier life at that.
I've seen my Fellow Knights of the Empty Ashtray celebrate their milestones and missed some of them as they have dropped from the site.
I've been affected by hurt feelings here, been ignored here, been loved and comforted here and most of all supported here by people that have faced and are facing the challenges of being a non-smoker every day.
Thank you SSC for all that you have done for me. This site works as long as we take what we need from others here and hopefully give back help and support in return. There are many wise people here and I totally attribute my success to these folks that have taken the time to encourage and support.
Love and blessings
